"The waitress was great but the food was poor. We ordered the Kona calamari and it was soaked in grease with sitting grease on the bottom of the plate. The breading didn’t hold on the calamari and the plate looked unappetizing. Not good for $18. Left half of it paid and left."

"You got to love a place that is open for all the major holidays. The Christmas menu is only limited a little but the prices were higher which is expected if they need to make it worth it for the staff. The group I was with really enjoyed their food especially the sliders and the sushi. I was even was able to get stuffing instead of fries since you need to eat stuffing on Christmas even if you don't like white meat turkey. Service was good and didn't hurry us. I think I will plan to be back next holidays if not sooner."

"my family ordered the salmon with fried rice and it was beyond salty. eating is overpriced and it was a scandal that the presentation was good, but the execution of the shurr was terrible. also they had a dj for new years and it was so loud. we spent about 260$ and I felt like the restaurant was too casual for the prices. Maybe if they had better cooks, I would be ok, but I felt like I was eating mcdonalds pommes with extra salt."

"Probably one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. The Poké bowl that I had tasted like I was eating a salt shaker. "Our Server was very good. The appetizer of Tuna Sashimi (5 piece) was a great presentation. Our entrees were so-so. The Cilantro Lime Chicken was only served with Cilantro even though that is the first word of the dish, otherwise no cilantro flavor with the chicken. The chicken was served on skewers and were served cold with warm turmeric rice so didn't really feel like an entrée. The Macadamia Nut Chicken was sort of soggy on the outside and the miso whipped potatoes were so-so. Our server suggested the Carrot Cake (he said it was wonderful). We decided to take it home. The cake was underwhelming with little spice and needed salt. Also, they have the devices on the table that you are supposed to use to pay. They were caked with food and fingerprints so obviously not cleaned when someone leaves so was gross to use. For the money, it was overpriced for what we got."

"While I’m sure the other menu items are good, vegan options are extremely limited. We ended up with a bowl of edamame, a vegetarian sushi roll that was on average, and the oriental salad that was at $11 disappointing. Mostly only a plate of shredded Napa cauliflower. There are no vegan ducks or sandwiches, and no vegan items on the happy hour menu. I asked the server if something else could be made vegan on the menu and the answer was no. If you are strictly vegan, my proposal is to go elsewhere. The only reason I stayed is that I was with non-vegan family who had already ordered."

"Birthday celebration for my 25. Birthday! Kona has always been a local clamp in my area and this has such a great ambience and friendly staff. I enjoyed a dinner with my partner and had a wonderful celebration with the service of Jenna and great managerial participation. They sang and made a performance that makes it an unforgettable experience. To complete it, we stayed until Happy Hour and they have the best price sushi and drinks for promotion. Very recommended!"

"I shared a birthday with my niece, so she decided she wanted to dinate at Kona Grill in Eden Prarie. What a wonderful experience. The food was great, but what the experience was even more spectacular was our waitress Michelle. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was pretty busy including Michelle. We were a party of 11 and you thought we were the only ones. Michelle was pleasant and attentive to us all night. She smiled during her encounter with us and made this big group error-free. After our dinner we found out that she was at work since 10:00 this morning and was now 9:30. Thank you, Michelle, that you are worth our Kona Grill birthday experience."

"Pretty good, but quite expensive, as others have said. We stopped between lunch and dinner on Friday. There were few people and the service was fast. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, explained the restaurant and the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered 2 cocktails that were great, along with the French Dip Sandwich and the Kona Stir-Fry. Everything was delicious, but part of the rice in the agitator was not cooked. Definitely a beautiful place, a bit Asian American fusion that all saw and sounded amazing. Just be prepared for the price!"
