"Very disappointed with the experience here especially after being so excited for our date night to try it out based on the great reviews. Our reservation was for We arrived and sat inside. We ordered our drinks and after receiving them started ordering appetizers, the waitress advised us to order our entree as well because the kitchen is closing, the restaurant closes at Online has the closing at but we assumed they would at least let us eat enjoy the food and drinks without excessive rushing. Wrong! The patrons that were still there were given their checks to pay and clean up was in full swing, even cleaning our table picking up straw wrapper extra plates as we drank. When our meals arrived, not even minutes later someone came over to ask if we’d like togo boxes. The waitress was watching our table on and off so we felt super rushed and the whole date vibe was just killed. My boyfriend lost his appetite and as soon as our waitress returned from sweeping the outside area we requested the check and the togo boxes. We ended up over in the Mizner Park area and finished our night with drinks and a snack at the bar inside Yard House, which totally redeemed that crappy experience. What makes it even worse is that the food was delicious at Lemongrass drinks not so much. But now we’re totally turned off to return a second time. Instead of having reservations available on Opentable they should close the window earlier and definitely update hours of operation. Also, when we checked in at the front with the hostess we should have been told they’re closing at so we could make the decision to eat elsewhere"

"The meals were tasty and the portions plentiful. I had the Fresh Ginger with Shrimp and I liked it but would have preferred a better mix of vegetables. The green curry chicken was enjoyed very much by another diner and a sushi roll and fried rice was delicious and enjoyed by our companion. Overall, the food was very good. The dining room was small and noisy. The service was good but seemed rushed. The dishes were cleared while others were still eating. Good casual eating…not dining."

"Okay, Google...I never leave reviews (trust me, feel free to fact-check), so obviously, this experience had me shook... so here we go.I came into the bar tonight with my buddy for $5 whiskeys. Everything was going great until I had mentioned to my friend how much admiration I had for Japanese people regarding their hard work ethic, exceptional discipline, various other positive traits, etc. Unprompted, the bartender decides to chime in on the conversation by saying how much these people have a messed-up personal life and a ton of sexual perversion issues.My friend and I were obviously taken aback by these racist remarks but did our best to relax the situation. I told the bartender that I had Asian relatives, but he dismissed this and walked away.About 10 minutes later, we received our checks. We didn 't ask for the checks. I double-checked with my buddy to make sure I wasn 't delusional. We were at a bar, having drinks, and generally enjoying ourselves... but were clearly being asked to leave.We didn 't make a scene, but we were obviously perturbed by the whole situation. You would think that the Short North, of all places, would be receptive to people of various cultures and backgrounds. To be honest, I think this was my first experience ever of being asked... without words... to leave a bar.We didn 't cause any trouble, bother other patrons, or do anything else to receive this sort of treatment. Just beware... if you come into Lemongrass... you better not say anything nice about Japanese people ??"

"Not that I want someone to know that this is one of the most overlooked places to eat in Berkeley. Great taste at low prices with lots of indoor and outdoor space, simple parking, close to BBowl, immaculate large bathrooms for families and family run themselves. This is our goal as a family of four."
