"My boyfriend and I were visiting the area and decided to eat brunch here because it was nearby, the food looked good, and we were starving. I'm SO glad we chose this place for our last minute brunch. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome from a very sweet lady. We were able to choose to sit anywhere we wanted since it wasn't as busy (1:15pm on a Saturday in case you're wondering). Right away, we were given a chance to order water/drinks, and then proceeded to look at what food to order. Their menu has a very wide selection of foods, spanning from breakfast (pancakes, french toast, oatmeal), to brunch (scrambles, benedicts, crepes), to classic lunch (sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc). Everything looked so appetizing, but I ordered a veggie scramble without the cheese, and fruit with English muffin. My bf ordered the oatmeal with a side of potatoes to share. The service here is so quick we received our food, piping hot and smelling/looking irresistible, within 15 minutes after we ordered. The food. Was. Phenomenal. The scramble was everything I want in a scramble: portioned to be satisfying and filling but not to the point of feeling stuffed, the English muffins were toasted to perfection, and I LOVE that they put the butter on the side rather than assuming that everyone automatically wants butter on their bread, and the fruit was plentiful, varied, and fresh! My bf's oatmeal was nothing short of the most comforting, warm, rich, and satisfying breakfast bowl I've seen in a while. They even provided milk and brown sugar for him to add it was so cute! The potatoes were also amazing. They were crispy and golden brown at the top, and softer throughout delicious with and without ketchup and black pepper. Throughout our feast, our water glasses were routinely topped off, smiles were abundant, and nothing felt rushed. I also noticed that there is a huge sense of community at this cafe. A lot of the people walking in seemed to be regulars, and quite close with the staff. I don't live in Belmont, but I'm definitely going to find reasons to drive down there in the future, just to eat at Cafe Bliss again."
