"It's not often, I write reviews. But when I do, I feel a personal connection to a place. Having grown up in the dirty, run down blocks of the Bronx, the only joy we had was to be able to get a piping hot bagel. Not any bagel, but one filled with schmear, carbs, and pure and luminous goodness that would put all my worries and pains to bed. Despite, all the trash, the hustle, and the looming eye of the big apple, this was my light at the end of the tunnel. My shining beacon of truth. Now living, a quiet, modest and upright Midwestern life, I can't but help remember this childish and instinctual feeling that I had in my childhood. Luckily, this establishment has served as a wonderful recreation of that experience. Fine people, fine employees, and a smile at the end of every transaction. Despite the masks, you could see the joy on the faces of the employees. God bless."
