"Our New Years Eve dinner started at 8:45 and ended at 11:45 because we had to get up abruptly. The food was slow getting to the table, and even for a 5 course meal, 3 hour is too much for dinner. The first course, the oyster, was served in a bed of salt without any warning and in a semi dark restaurant we could not tell that it was salt. My son got sick on the first bite and only could try one more dish before going to the restroom. The food not really what we expected, the lobster bisque was salty, and the rest of the dishes didnt seemed very special to us. Liked the dessert, yes, but couldnt eat it all because we wanted to go see the fireworks. About the fireworks, we requested specifically when we reserved that we wanted to see them. The hotel told us, when we checked in, we could do that at the terrace, that it was included in our expensive 5 course meal. Well, we left for the terrace and a very crancky lady told us we needed another bracelet to get in (another one on top of the hotel bracelet). We went back inside and they gave us another one but the lady didnt want that either to let us in, Had to come a young and decent manager to fix our entrance BUT IT WAS TOO LATE: The 12 O clock of the new year happened in the middle of the situation. WE ended up unhappy, disgusted, frustrated. We checked out the next morning feeling that this expensive dinner and expensive night werent woth it. Even the table they put us in had a limp!!! And we thought it was going to be a memorable dinner... Sorry if this review hurt somebodys feeling, but is OUR truth for our New Years Eve dinner at Toro Toro."
