"The food was fine. The steak in the steak and eggs was definitely undercooked and I got the wrong toast (ordered rye, got wheat), but what can you do. Coffee was good. This place was woefully understaffed, though. They had two servers covering a dining room that looked to be about 70% full. It took about 15 minutes to get a server to our table and, even then, he wanted to take our food order before taking our drinks order (and I really needed coffee) and he was definitely flustered. He was working hard, and I don't blame him for the staffing issue, but the manager seemed to be wandering around aimlessly and didn't seem to be helping in any way. While waiting about 10 minutes just to ask for our check, we approached the manager for some help and she simply said our server would bring it and then returned to wandering around the dining room with no apparent purpose. Zero situational awareness. A simple breakfast with a pretty limited menu took over an hour. We won't be back."

"my wife and I are more vegan. I was dressed to this new kitchen because her menu has a vegan element clearly listed. four items are on the vegetarian side of the menu, but it seemed as if it were easy to vegan-ize others. it is a beautiful location on avila beach, and our June lunch was a beautiful day with sunny skiers and sea brisks. our server was very friendly and seemed ready to accommodate us. but it became clear that they do not really understand what is vegan. no butter with the brot, but I asked if the brot itself was vegan, and got empty look. brüssel sprouts are not on the menu as vegan, but it seemed simply enough to make them so, and still they came served with an aioli that contained acid cream. ratatouille was three quarter zucchini, which seemed cheap and unimaginatiw. where was the sorted summer vegetables promised in the menu? when the manager made his rounds, my complained received a ten percent discount. the lack of vegan training of its restaurants deserved this review."

"We ate it side on a lovely night. My friend and I shared the mushroom pizza, tomatoes and burrata salad, as well as the crab ravioli-all delicious. The only negative is that parking is a bit difficult. Will definitely return!"

"Loved our experience! We ordered the Salmon dinner, french fries (which are a must have) and a beautifully made Old Fashioned. Our bartender, Seth, was super attentive and made sure our food, drinks and experience was exactly what we wanted. After a busy day in Manhattan, this was the perfect place to end the day!"

"I made a reservation for my anniversary, and they didn 't actually reserve... anything. It might as well have been a walk-in. When I got there, all of the good tables were taken, they handed us paper menus and said sit anywhere. I said I had a reservation and they just said ok. The only benefit my reservation served was to THEM, as if I would have cancelled they would have auto charged me a $20 fee."

"Terrible service at this restaurant. They decided to hold a staff meeting during business hours, accepted our order and payment, and then kicked us out claiming the staff meeting was more important, even though we had a young baby with us. There was a total lack of empathy and it felt like a joke to ask paying customers to eat outside. To top it off, they let white customers in after kicking out Asian customers. Maybe they should consider paying their staff better if they can't attend meetings during business hours. Overall, a terrible establishment that needs to prioritize customer service over profit. And to add insult to injury, they forgot to give me my beer and just shrugged it off with an "oops." Maybe next time I'll "forget" to pay. Jokers."

"We made our reservations early, 5:45, and asked for the patio. However, there were no tables in the shade and the sun was very hot. Yes it was slowly going down, but it meant 20-30 min in the direct sun. We had to move inside which was okay, but disappointing. A bit too loud inside for us. A few umbrellas are needed outside! Service was warm, attentive, and friendly and the food was delicious!"

"We have eaten here many times and the food is always delicious. They have a very nice wine list, very fairly priced. My wife and I always like to try a bottle we have never had and have never been disappointed. There is a delightful outdoor patio with heaters if it's a little chilly. "Unfortunately, while my food was quite tasty, everyone on my table (of 4) was disappointed in service (very slow, though you were telling an employee about the bar, tried very hard to be everything for all). At least one other person on our table was disappointed with the quality/taste of their food and two were disappointed in the size of the portion. I asked for Frank (the owner? who confirmed my reservation with about a week before our arrival) and a gentleman who had imagined himself like Marcello earlier came by and said he was Frank... then he said Marcello again. Very confusing. It was not so busy though it is a small place, so the slow service doesn't really make sense. Pretty sure to say that we probably don't go back... Overall good food, not very good service (although we first paid more attention than we were at the bar). We had better gallentines..."
