"I went for happy hour. The drink prices were great for my beer. Most menu items for happy hour were good. Had the chicken quesadilla, chicken wings and fries. both were a good buy. The chicken tender and french fries happy hour meal includes 2 chicken tenders. Will definitely go back for happy hour and just for lunch/dinner as I find the food delicious. Our server was spot on."

"We were left alone for min. after receiving our menus while the table down from us got waited on times for the same waiter, who never turned his attention toward us. Also, that that time, we tried to politely get the waiter's attention, but he was wrapped up in casual conversations with other workers the place was only full that night. The food was ok, but the Cubano and the salsa was pretty bland. Don't think we'd go back"

"My husband, our two little ones and I had a wonderful dinner tonight. Our waiter Anthony was very fast and not over stock, he knew the menu and gave great suggestions. The best rib was amazing, pancake was delicious and our children loved the Mac and cheese. Can't wait to try again different things on the menu."

I also observed mice and roaches in the kitchen. The food is poorly cooked. Save your money and dine at a different, cleaner pizzeria in Little Ferry. Overall atmosphere: 1/5"

"The food was okay but the female waitress was kind of rude. I accidentally ordered a omelette that had bacon in it. And I kindly stated “I was unaware this had bacon in, I can’t have pork”. She stated “so you didn’t read the menu. It clearly says that it’s bacon in here.” I made a honest mistake, and she made me feel horrible about it. On a positive note, she did take it back and bring me another one without bacon, and told me happy birthday since today was my birthday. The rest of the staff was very nice and made me feel welcomed."

"The service was good, the place was clean and the quality of the food was very good, but both the order of my wife and mine were much wrong. You mark what you want in a checklist and the simpler one there is to the cook so that you should get exactly what you order, and it's a great concept, except what we ordered, was not what the cook apparently wanted us. If I thought my order would be right next time, I would definitely go back, but 2 of 2 orders very wrong gives me no confidence. For the process they calculate, at least what we ordered. I would have sent them back to make them right, but we have there about an hour before closing and thought maybe the cook was just ready to go and didn't want someone who was already ready to go, something they obviously didn't want to do first."

"I have no complaints about the food. It’s always been consistently good. My issue on this visit was they had no idea how to process my OpenTable Award points. They were unable to key in the number provided/printed to me from OpenTable and that the document read a zero balance. I had to show them the email I received stating I had redeemed points specifically for The Counter in that night and at that time. I also ordered a meal to go which was very soggy by the time the order was done. 18 mins had gone by from the time I got my bill before they just credited my bill for $25. The Manager had no idea how to process the coupon and came back and said she would just trust that the credit was for $25. By the time I got home the food I bought for my kids was cold and soggy. Needless to say the whole experience was disappointing... and to think I WAS having a really good day."

"I like the food here well enough. Kinda pricey 4.25 for lemonade but OK... However, I am weighing in along with several others about the automatic 20% SVC-Charge' that was added to my bill. I did not see this charge advertised anywhere on the menu or on the table-top eye-catchers. And it is certainly not anywhere near the prices shown. If it was on the menu, it must be in the tiny print, at the bottom of the page, that no-one reads when they are ordering their food. Anyway, I've been hit like this at other places and I consider it to be dishonest. The receipt says In lieu of a gratuity, a fee of 20% will be added. 100% of this fee is used to support living wages for our employees Really? I believe in tipping. And I also believe that the amount of the tip is MY CHOICE. Not the managements! If they don't think their employees are paid enough, then PAY THEM MORE! Don't force customers to pay extra without prior consent. Well folks, just like my policy towards other establishments that have pulled this stunt, I WILL NEVER GO BACK. And I will tell everyone I know that they should not eat there either."

"I am staying at the hotel and work late most nights, so I've been here twice this week. Of the items I've tried not one thing was worth what I paid. The French onion soup was close but the cheese was burnt and the taste permeated throughout the entire bowl. The pork tenderloin was good but the sides were cold. The eggplant is really a plate of melted cheese with a tough sliver of skin-on eggplant. The best things so far are the $2 pints of Miller Lite on Mondays. Because I am here most of the month, I will continue to test the menu in the hopes of finding something that tastes as good as it costs. I'm not holding out much hope. That's too bad because the place has potential. The atmosphere is very nice. Thank goodness I'm on an expense account. I wouldn't want to waste my money on this place."

"Everything we ordered tasted great, including the chowder soup, which is a very common dish everywhere. Personally I enjoyed the works very much-all the ingredients offered a great combo of flavors that created pleasing fireworks in my mouth and brain (that Ratatouille scene, if you know what I mean; if not, just know I loved the dish). The server was incredibly sweet, patient, and understanding. When my younger sister unreasonably tried to order four dishes for herself and did not listen to us, the server nicely reminded her that would be a lot of food and avoided a terrible waste."
