"I'm sorry, Banana Leaf- it just doesn't work. I cut right on it: Banana Leaf takes Malay/Singaporeic food, but it is not worth the price or the amount. I prefer to go to Banyan Garden (in Union City) or Layang Layang (in Cupertino). When it first opened, I loved going there because I longed for some good Malay food. Her Roti Prata is tasty, like the Huat Dan Ho and the Banana Leaf Rice (known as Nasi Lemak). The fried bananas/ice cream desserts are also not bad. But after several visits I began to notice how small the portions were and how much I paid for it. Then I realized that I didn't like many dishes on the menu... and that the service was usually missing. I have tried a large part of the Banana Leaf menu, and while eating is not bad, you can get better food (and larger amounts) for your money in the other places I mentioned."
