"I would not recommend going to Fiola Mare during COVID or after. The first thing I was informed of is the time limit at the table of 1 hr 30 min, which I thought was completely tasteless. I was celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with me to share at the table. I was informed that I could not cut or eat my cake at the table because things from the outside are not allowed. I thought that policy was ludicrous because literally people bring jackets, purses, etc in the restaurant, which are technically from the outside. Nevertheless, we pressed on. Our waitress was fine, she did her job gracefully and was very funny. We all ordered the lobster ravioli, which was $55. The dish tasted great but I think we were all shocked when we received 2 ravioli and 2 pieces of lobster. It was so tiny that it was more like an hor d'oeurve than a dish. It is criminal to me that Fiola Mare thinks it is appropriate to charge that amount for 2 lobster ravioli and 2 small pieces of lobster. I have no problem paying that amount for quality food but that dish was severely overpriced. At that point I did not wish to press on and order anything else. With the time limit on the dinner, I think we were all ready to go at that point. We all left HUNGRY and underwhelmed. It completely put a damper on my birthday celebration. For that, I will not return and would caution any one else to do the same."

"Calling a steak house would be a joke. To calculate prices, how fine restaurant tears people out. Let me start from the beginning. We went for our 7:00 Friday night reservation and was greeted by the hostess. She went through the short foyer into this large bar area and sat in a stand in the bar. Not in a dining room, but in the bar. Okay, not ideal, but we'll handle it. Our waitress came and was pleasant and helpful. I ordered a Caesar salad and the main rib. I order medium often or rarely, I order it pink. My wife ordered the filet medium. Not red in the middle. My $15 salad arrived. It had the darkest part of the romaine leaves, not the brighter ones. Store bought crumbs and shop bought creamy caesar dressing made the salad. Good on the main course. My first rib was bought blood red with a store creamy horseradish sauce. Very steak house like. My wife's file didn't come out very moderately rarely. As soon as our waitress threw up our plates and returned them to the kitchen. When I got corrections, my red steak was now dark brown. My first bite was hard and salty. My second bite, while less hard was chewing. At the third bite I was done. This place is a bar that wants to act like a steak house with a chef hired by Denny's. No talent or originality. The one good thing I'm going to say about this place is the parking lot good with plenty of space, as we obviously were one of the few who didn't know that this place was a disaster."
