"It just wouldn't be summer if I didn't pay at least one visit to this Shelter Island staple. Each year the chef reinvents some basic item into a melt in your mouth affair. This year it's the straciatella with asparagus. While burrata is on everyone else's menu everywhere, this is a scrumptious variation on the trend finished with a lemon zest that makes it sing. The mussels are always flavorful as is pretty much everything on the menu. We always share at least 3 or 4 items like the cevice that was so amazing fresh we tried to take our time and savor every bite. Make a reservation in advance soon. They roll up and out on Labor Day."
