"I recently tried Knife and Fork Inn for the first time while visiting AC for a week. This was on my list of places to try and I am so glad I stopped in on a Wednesday evening for dinner! I was able to quickly be sat for a table for one. The server was friendly, bus person always had my water glass filled, and overall I loved my experience. I could feel the history of the building which was great! I chatted with the server about some menu options and she recommended the Knife and Fork Inn dinner, which included 3 courses, an excellent and tasty crab chowder, a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad (I actually typically dislike tomato but was able to surprisingly enjoy the dish), and then filet Mignon and lobster thermidor, their signature dish. I can see why, as it was so delicious, lobster was cooked perfectly, it was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and I loved every bite! The steak was cooked well, I asked for medium and it was mostly spot on, it was so tender, and tasted so fresh! My side was good too like a pillowy french fry. I would definitely return and recommend to others. The prices were reasonable in comparison to casino restaurants and everything was so fresh and delicious! Even my creme brule dessert was awesome! Awesome dinner and can't wait to visit again some day!"

"Ambience was absolutely incredible. We dined in the chandelier room and we had no problem speaking to each other! The music level was at a great and manageable volume. The food was excellent and came out very swiftly and freshly. We each had the ribeye, and both were cooked exactly as we wished, and could sense the quality in the cut. The wine was fantastic, and the restaurant decor made it an incredibly romantic and classy evening."

"the service was terrible! the whole meal was eaten! as if they needed the table for another party. we had ordered appetizers, we had not finished our appetizers earlier and the meals came. I wanted to send back, but I knew that the meals would be sitting under a heat lamp that boils away! Our waiter never looked at us to ask if we needed something or if our meal would be for our joy! we had to ask for water and more brot. then the best part was, we were not even finished with our entrees and the waiter asked if we were dessert! not the best culinary experience and for the pricing, the experience should be fantastic, and it was not! I would not recommend this restaurant."

"Our lunch at Steadfast on Friday was okay, but not better than okay. The space was raucously loud when we arrived, but as the lunch crowd emptied out, it became reasonably quiet. I would not go to this restaurant at the height of lunch hour due to the noise level. The food was okay. I had the lobster roll, which was small and ordinary and came with a lot of French fries. To the point that I felt like I was having French fries for lunch. My friend had the soup, which he said was good, and a Greek salad, which was again okay but nothing special. I would not run back to Steadfast it used to be better."

"We went there the night before Thanksgiving and it was a great dinner. The appetizer, roasted Calamari, was good, but a large part of it was just roasted Jalapenos. My duck was the whole fish, and I loved him. The meat was tender and the skin was beautiful and crispy. My friend also enjoyed his risotto with scallops like add on. They gave quite a lot of scallops for a good price. For dessert we got the baked Alaska as dessert and it was huge."

"Both salads—the house salad and the Caesar—were delicious, though they were quite standard in flavor. The prime tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a pleasing peppered and salted crust, accompanied by pickled red wine reduction onions and béarnaise sauce. The lobster risotto, while perfectly prepared, had an overpowering seafood taste, and the white wine in it wasn't reduced enough. On the other hand, the lobster mac and cheese was rich and delightful. The crème brûlée was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, this steakhouse is definitely worth a visit if you're in Waco!"

"I had been waiting for some time to try stone crab again and this restaurant did not disappoint very excellent !! The atmosphere and service in this restaurant are outstanding and very elegant without any attitude. From greeting to paying the bill, everything was well executed, properly paced and made us feel like valued customers. "We have dined at this restaurant several times in the past, but this time we were disappointed with the quality in comparison to the price. The cold water lobster tail was excellent, but the supposed "1/2 lb" of king crab had very little meat and was not fully cracked, making it difficult to enjoy. The steak frites were overcooked as well. The bottle of wine we selected turned sour and was undrinkable by the end of the meal. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the bartenders were great, but overall the experience did not feel like it justified the high cost."

It's the perfect spot for any special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc. The only thing that caught me off guard was that I had requested seating on the second floor with a nice view, but when I got to the restaurant, all of the seating was occupied and he ended up having to sit on the first floor.
