"Very good, but a little pricey. This is a very casual place with lots of painted flamingos, pink paint, and rolls of paper towels dangling from the ceiling on hangers. You just have to see it for yourself. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. Based on the smiles on the servers' faces, it seems as though this is a happy workplace. As a pretty good cook myself, seafood is not difficult to cook or season correctly, but I am often surprised as to how most restaurants over season and over cook it. Lulu's does it right. All of the seafood we ordered from grouper and mahi mahi and salmon to shrimp were fantastic and cooked perfectly. However, the crab cake was only okay because it had a seasoning that tasted a bit like relish and had a somewhat mushy texture. Something a crab cake never needs. Just lump crab, a little mayo, a little dry mustard, and Old Bay are all that is needed for an authentic and delicious crab cake. I also ordered the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were cut a bit too thin, and the coating was bland and not original. The roumalaude sauce was very good. The sides for all of the other entrees were okay. Acceptable, but nothing exceptionally good. Skip the $3 margarita special. While tasty, I could not detect any alcohol in it. It's usually best to stick with bottled beer in these places. I would return based on the excellent seafood and service. However, I felt that the prices were a bit high for the so-so sides and casual atmosphere."
