"For a casual road side clam bar, this place is surprisingly unsuitable for families. Ironically, while the clam bar is unfriendly to customers with children its staff is extremely immature. The clam bar 's condition of service is that children do not leave their seats (there are no high chairs). In my experience, the lunch staff is extremely rude and treats patrons as if who cares since they view diners as tourists who will probably never be back again anyway. In that regard, they are correct I will never be back again. Rather, I will be a repeat customer at a great joint just down the street the Lobster Roll which is extremely child friendly and has good service and food. If I were the owner of the Clam Bar, I would immediately institute some rules as to how staff treat customers name calling, making faces and chanting bye bye to patrons who are a bit surprised at the harsh rules regarding children leave your seat, even at the table and service is denied, is a sure fire way to earn reviews like this one. Those college girls should know better."
