My loco moco burger meat was kinda tough. Sauce was good though. Cocktails were just ok. Nothing great. Convenient location to meet friends staying in Waikiki. I’d go back"

"we went to the palace cafe tonight and looked forward to an intimate date night. the first half of the evening meal was great. beautiful, cozy atmosphere, delicious appetizer and salat. and then the loudest mozens I ever met in a pricier restaurant were left behind. I literally had to call more than one thing that my man heard me. then, in order to outdo everything, they had a conversation about game ofs where incest no less than 6 times was said. a manager never approached them when we complained to a waitress, she said, I will tell her server, I don't expect us to go back ever since this completely ruined our evening."

"we have reserved an outside table, but none were available. the waiting employees were difficult to understand and much repetition was necessary to place our order. two of the three meals arrived. after ten minutes we finally have our server, who said that the third order must have been lost and finally served the third meal. the food was moderate (e.g. Limp-Fries, excessive mayonnaised saucing)."

"Why this place is great: 1) Quality food, reasonable price, skill cooks, decent portions. 2) They do brown rice. If you ask them, you can get brown fried rice. First place I ran into in Seattle that will do this. And the fried brown rice is amazing. 3) In the Summer, about half of the seating is covered but open air. Probably the coolest place to eat in Seattle in July and August."

"Just as with their Fireweed location, this location is just as good.  We used to go to the Mt View location regularly until they opened Fireweed which is closer.  Regardless, it's the exact same wonderful food and wonderful service.  You won't leave hungry and you will leave with a smile on your face.  Highly recommended."

"My husband and I used to enjoy dining at Kono's during our Maui vacation, but our recent experience was a big disappointment. We had a reservation but were told outside seating was first come, first serve. The outside seating now offers "community seating" where strangers sit together at large tables. There is also a $5.00 cover charge on Sunday nights for the band playing outside. We decided not to stay for dinner due to the loud volume of the band and the lack of traditional Hawaiian decor or staff attire. Unfortunately, Kono's is no longer on our list of favorite dining spots on Maui."

"We dined at Merchant on Tuesday so we could take advantage of their Date Night offering. The ambiance and dishes paired very well together. I noticed how light the music was and that created a more enjoyable atmosphere rather than loud music with people talking over it. I can appreciate a restaurant who includes thoughtfully prepared vegetarian dishes rather than ones without creativity and flavor. I can say that Merchant Madison delivered this to me and for that, I can guarantee I will return. Oh yeah, and the husband will too. P.S. thanks for a great night, Emma!"

"I'm so happy to see an upscale Hawaiian restaurant in the neighborhood! The inside is really cute and there's a ton to choose from on the menu. We had friends who are gluten free and others who don't eat meat, and there was something for everyone. The cocktails were yummy and one came with some smoking rosemary, fun! The service was really nice and friendly, albeit a bit slow. The food was good, but not amazing. The meat (sirloin skewers) was a little over cooked in my opinion and came with a huge half pineapple, but was kind of difficult to actually eat. I loved the musubi and tacos! I look forward to coming back to try other things off the menu."
