"We've wanted to try Basil's since moving to Winterville in 2021. The service leaves MUCH to be desired, the pasta salad is not pasta salad at all; its macaroni salad.. You'd think an Italian restaurant would know the difference.. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, it was like eating a brick. As for service, it took the waiter 20 minutes to even acknowledge that we were in the restaurant and when he finally got to us, he apparently didn't listen to our needs. We ordered an appetizer (as a type 1 diabetic, it was kind of important); never received it. Our meal came out about 30 minutes after ordering. Moral of this story, go anywhere else but here.."
