"My husband and I are trying to meet a Buford Highway restaurant every weekend. Today we visited Ming's BBQ. Our original intention was to eat at lunch in La Mei Zi, but since her line was out of the door!! We decided to go next door and give Ming's shot. We sat immediately and soon recognized the only gringos in the joint clear, a good sign! I quickly jumped online to see what other diners have excited, and it seemed the duck and the honey pig were the way to go. The menu is extensive and ranges from things to out there as fried intestines to kung pao chicken. Our waitress spoke perfectly English, and the menu is in Chinese and English, so there are really no problems order. I ordered the Honey Roasted BBQ Pork with rice and green vegetables $6.99 that came out super fast. The meat was delicate and tasteful with a few small crispy bits that are always my favorite. Scott ordered a half of Beijing Duck $16.99 that took a while. I'm not sure what happened to the delay, but we basically had my dishes as an appetizer. The duck was served with four soft white rolls, vegetables and sauce. We thought the food was delicious. I thought the pig was better than the duck, but Scott enjoyed his court. Portions are generous without being over the top. From what we could say they do a ton of business. If you eat in a waitress, sit down. They'll bring you the check. They're going to pay the counter. The restaurant seems to be very clean and you will see a butcher in the front chop up duck and pig that are displayed in the front window.
