"came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday. He used to be with customers and colleagues here and I wanted to try it out. I think for the location, price and ambience, it is worth visiting! The food was good, but not to call home. We had divided the can afteros, ahi tuna tacos and wagyu skewers. A spit was well cooked (to do for our pleasure), the other still medium. The waitress didn't ask, so I rarely asked for medium. Flavor was great and the sauce they serve with it was extremely refreshing! The Ahi Tacos were great! Beautiful balance of spicy and fresh. Nachos were massive. I wanted to order a salad, but the waitress warned against it. Lucky I didn't order the salad because we only finished 1/3 of the beast! Flavors were great. Basic what you do in Nachos, but delish! I also had a glass of her French Chardonnay. Maybe 7/10. I love a really buttery wine, but he fell short. The waitress said it was the butteriest thing they knew it wasn't super buttery. So I guess her honesty. Noise level is loud as you go and talk and understand how loud you were when you go into an open space. At the end of dinner I lost my voice a little. Music was so great live country cover and it was really wonderful. Actually, this bar/restaurant reminds me of Austin, TX, which was a nice change from the formal places here in SLC. I don't think it's great for date night, but perfect for going out with a group of friends or more couples!"

"Overall, I was always impressed by Paper Doll. We have always enjoyed the entire atmosphere of the place and drinks they have to offer. About a month ago some friends and I booked places for the doll house at Paper Doll. We had been looking forward to it for months and I even had people from the city. When we arrived, the host told us that the dollhouse was not open at the moment. This was surprising because we had received notifications about our reservations for some time. He told us that they were low on the staff, what we understood completley, and that they would not be able to eat us back there. I told him that I totally understand that they were short employees, and we wouldn't complain yet expect ordinary service, but really wanted in Dollhouse because of 1) our big group size, and 2) the fact that we celebrated birthdays. He was very friendly but not knocking, but was very helpful to make sure that we sit on Paper Doll in regular seats. It ended all right, and we did all push and fit on the stands, but it was still not what we had expected. The next time it would be great to know before the time if the place where we book is not open because we would have gone 100% to another bar if we had known in advance. The host was helpful and tried, but it was still frustrating that we came about 20 guests and no idea that the room should be closed. They also suggested that we have booked it on a separate website, but on OpenTable it was not clear that you had to do this with large groups. Besides, drinks were great and the staff was friendly and helpful, just write this review to help anyone who could do the same in the future."
