"The food and service is great, but be aware that they have no wine list (when my friend and I learned this, we went to a nearby shop to get a bottle of red wine). But not only do they not have wine, but they refused to provide glasses (when we asked) for our BYOB bottle because of the owner's religious scruples! So if you'd like wine with your dinner, it's best to choose another Turkish place."

"OMG!! This is the first time I and my spouse have eaten at The Pita Shop and it most definitely WILL NOT be the last. The food here is amazing and the overall freshness of the items was outstanding. We both had the chicken special with pita bread, fresh made hummus and Mediterranean salad with seasoned chicken. We both had dessert ranging from the BEST carrot cake I have ever had and a equally delicious cheesecake.I have to give The Pita Shop much kudos for bringing a flair of excellence to I and my spouse's palate that will not soon be forgotten."

"For a rainy dinner hour on Monday, it was to be expected that most places would be on the empty side. But this getaway place shouldn't have been, because the food and service were respectively home-made delicious and honest. The dishes we ordered were recommended traditional ones and were overall satisfying especially because of the sauces! Perfectly reasonable place to grad some quick falafel from the Georgetown campus. In the end, it was the perfectly crafted almond caramel cake dessert that really stole the show! I don't even really like caramel and I am still thinking about this amazing caramel sauce..."

"My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. Things have changed since my last visit, as now you are able to choose how to enter and find a table. This process worked smoothly. The food was brought to our table and everything was incredibly fresh and well-prepared. The flavors really came together. I ordered the chicken kabob, grape leaves, and various extras on the side - all of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place."

"This restaurant is very humble and easy to miss if you are not paying attention. However, if you like Middle Eastern food, it is worth making the effort to visit. We got the lamb gyro and a lamb wrap for a quick snack, and also bought some pantry items. The meat was flavorful and the pickles and sauce complemented it well. In addition, the prices are fair and the service is friendly. Just note that they open at 2:30pm if you are planning to go for lunch. Overall, it is a local spot that I would definitely recommend supporting."

"Unbelievable! This local secret found by a friend and definitely not disappointed. The food is so fresh, healthy and well prepared I think it could eat every day. Honestly could have been the gyro I've ever had. There is also a Middle East market with items that you cannot find anywhere else in Charleston; Turkish dried olives, several different types of zataar, spiced paprika flakes, Arabic pimples... we have taken a few things home and cannot wait to go back. 10/10!"
