"While the restaurant and staff were great, and the food in general was tasty, our entrees were served with much more rice than main dish, and that made me think it was not a particularly good value for the money. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and people watching, but I don't think we will eat there again because there just wasn't enough of the main course in proportion to the rice. The appetizers were very good, but again, quite small portions."

"Incredibly delicious food. The terrace had an excellent ambience for a cozy dinner. It was also the safest arrangement I saw as the tables are shipyards apart. I was in town for two days. We went to Bamiyan on the first day and liked it so much that we came back for the second. They were generous and gave us tea with saffron samples that I like to prepare. The ice cream, pudding and cardamom cakes were all exceptionally good – the cakes above all, I think."

"there are definitely some service kinks to work. our food came out immediately, but the young woman tried to delete our tellers again and again before we were finished. as there were 2/3 of the tables open, it was unclear why they had the need to tear us through. when they ran the credit card, it was for the bill of another. necessary to refund and repeat. eating was good and affordable, but nothing remarkable."

"One of our favorite places to eat. The selection at the buffet is perfect not overwhelming but enough variety for everyone. Ordering from the menu, absolutely everything is great. My son orders the lamb date korma every time, even when he would like to try something else. It's that good. Portions are large and the waitstaff is friendly. Because the staff is small, service can be slow if they're busy. Don't plan on a quick meal here, but do plan on a meal here."

"We have been visiting Afghan Village Restaurant since it opened almost 6 years ago. We have always enjoyed their food, especially their authentic Afghani dishes. Although sometimes our experience may vary, they consistently rank in the top 3 for their dishes. Our favorite menu items are Chapli Kabab, Mantoo, Bolani, and Qabuli Palau. This time, the Bolani was a bit different in shape, going from round to oval, but the taste was still delicious. In our opinion, the Chapli Kabab at Afghan Village Restaurant is superior to any other Afghan restaurant we have tried."

"Loved dining in this Indian Restaurant at Richardson, Dallas. What we ordered: 1. Matar Paneer 2. Chicken 65 3. Butter Naan Keep in mind, the menu in this restaurant is a little bit more pricy than other restaurants in Dallas. Environment: 1.Big restaurant where the left side has only a buffet arrangement, while the right side has ample seating arrangement to feed aparty 2. Different table sizes from a table of 2 to a group seating arrangement 3. Well-lit and clean interior with nice decor Abig con: 1. Worst smelling toilet I have witnessed at a restaurant. It was horrible. Food: They have different spices levelsfrom none to extra spicy. Do ask them what spice level you prefer before ordering. 1. The Matar Paneer was excellent! The gravywas thick, and a nice aroma of the dish illuminated our taste buds! Simply wonderful. The only drawback is that we wanted itextra spicy but found zero hit of chili. 2. The chicken 65 was bland and did not taste authentic at all! It had a hint of bbqsauce in it and we have tasted better Chicken 65 at other Indian Restaurants. 3. The butter Naan is probably the best Naan Iever had in my life! It had the texture of a paratha with a great taste of Indian herbs and butter. It is a bit moist and notcrispy. I always like when Restaurants provide free water and this was no exception. The staff are nice and courteous but alittle more smile can go a long way! I rate it a 3 star because of their bad smelling toilet which takes the overall expericeinto a downhill but I would still recommend to try out their restaurant for the Matar Paneer."

"We went here for dinner. It wasn’t crowded, probably because it was only 6:30 pm. The person that took our order wasn’t too helpful in making recommendations. However, after we placed our order, this fantastic Guatemalan server was absolutely kind and hospitable. He made us feel welcomed. He took very good care of us and asked us to try different dishes. We ordered lamb Kahari, beef kabob with pulao rice, and Chicken Pulao. We also ordered garlic naan, green tea, and milk tea. The food was delicious. The lamb was tender and full of flavor. The chicken was soft and tasty. We were delighted with the flavors of the different dishes. We would definitely come back with more friends."
