"the place has a cozy feeling, and everyone there seemed to enjoy. when we were there, played a band outside and the restaurant also played music, so there were competing dual sounds that were just loud obtrusive noises. service was a little slow, but friendly. that was okay. we have shared a pizza (combo) that was loaded with ingredients so that they do not skip to the and a plate of pasta. we asked if we could only have spaghetti with garlic, olive oil and parmesan and the cook stopped. the warm brot was also served with butter. overall we would go back and try other elements on the menu."

"I was hesitated to try due to the low rating but then found out the low rating all went to the previous owner and different cuisines too (was an Asian bbq restaurant) now is a Cantonese style restaurant. Excellent customer services and the food definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! Is a hike for me to get to the restaurant but is so worth it????"

"Must try pasta place! One of my new favs and will def be back. We went out for my partners b day and received exceptional service from the owner (I think Brandon) and Adelaide the waitress. We received a complimentary taste of sangria upon entering which was delicious.The pasta was phenomenal I got the pesto with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes my partner got one of the shop favs with meatball. Everything was so fresh and amazing and made with love. We got wine with our meal and the bill was half the price of any other restaurant for pasta and wine. They even gave us 2 homemade cookies at the end of the meal which were incredible. It is a no fuss place not fancy but we loved that. Will def be there again."

"The staff is always friendly, accommodating and efficient. Always ready to finish your coffee without any questions. Portion sizes are more than sufficient. There was a couple of times, and the housekeepers tend to overcook, but still tasty. When you get there at 8:00, there is no problem with seating. On Sunday, get there early. I love the way they serve their water: in this glass bottle. the france caffe was perfect. the crepe absolutely out of this world and they have a chicken sandwich that is so delicious that I wanted to order another before I was ready to eat mine. the server were very busy, but at the same time they often check on them and are very polite and polite. "Good bagel shop BUT don't try to call your order in advance. They will pick up the line and leave you hanging and never come back to you. Then they leave the line busy on purpose so you can't call again. Its how they manage their orders. Very disappointing."

"We bumped into this place after a 13-mile walk. We were looking for some AC and a cold beer. My wife and I eat a keto/carnivore diet often. This place hit the soft. Lisa was our server, and she was excellent. It was fun to cook our meat the way we liked it. The sauces were excellent. We chose the shaved brisket, spicy pork belly, and steak. It was all very good. That said. I wouldn't do the steak again. Mixing the sauces and then putting the rice in the sauce was a perfect way to carry the flavor into the lettuce wraps. A small bit of rice with the meat on top was delicious. Don't let the grungy appearance fool you. It was a very good place to eat and the staff were nice. We noticed a lot of locals eating lunch there. That is always a good sign."

"This is a Woodstock neighborhood gem with a lot of locals dining there. There is familiarity between staff and local patrons which isn 't the best for 'outsiders '. The restaurant has great potential to be one of the best in Portland. I have no doubtthe chef is doing a superb job because the food tasted delicious and was presented well. I am not a food critic, and feeltastes are subjective so I will not review the food any further. Our disappointment was about the service and overallrestaurant effort given the high prices for a non-downtown restaurant. Paper napkins for a $200 meal for two? Really? We choseto sit outside not knowing the layout of the outdoor space because it was a lovely warm day. We were definitely ignoredthroughout our wine pairing, 3-course meal until another table was seated outside towards the end of our meal. We waited about20 minutes for our dessert to show up. We don 't mind 'slow dining ', in fact we prefer it, but there is a huge difference betweenbeing ignored and a deliberate slow dining experience. Nobody checked on us throughout our meal, and plate collection was veryslow as well as forgotten paired wine with our entree. : The obvious let down is the very busy and very loud street, but weweren 't expecting apartment occupants above the restaurant to be so loud and obnoxious as well. Not sure how either of thoseconditions would be remedied other than sitting inside. I am not sure if we would go back given the expense and our first timemediocre experience.????"
