"This is a poor review. I’ve dined at EDGAR on other occasions, and it has always been very good. However, on this occasion, I received a voicemail from the restaurant, not more than hours before our reservation time for our party of that Edgar would be hosting a private event and we would be moved to an annex area of sorts. They had a name for it that I cannot recall. Being too late to change our plans, we dined in a room that had more in common with a storage room than a dining venue. It was overcrowded, noisy, and the service was sluggish. Of the six dinners, five were very good and one was seriously below par. I have a bit of reluctance giving a poor review of what I hope stems from an uncommon circumstance. On the other hand, EDGAR might do this more frequently than I realize. We certainly paid for a fine-dining experience and received an overworked cafeteria-style one instead. The bottom line is that this is not acceptable."
