"I came here with a group of seven and the consensus among all of us was that the food was excellent! I could tell that it was authentic. Everything was freshly made and absolutely delicious! The Oxtails in the stew were tender, those who had sandwiches stated that they were very tasty, and the fish platters were really good. One vegetarian platter was also as good as all the meat and seafood dishes. I must also note that the Cuban Coffee was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had and three other people also really enjoyed it from the very first sip. Our server was excellent, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant."

"The restaurant met all my expectations. I had a Cubano, which was slightly dry, but I'm definitely open to trying it again. I noticed the interior; while the staff was very friendly, the decor could use some improvement. However, the focus should be on the food, and I'm willing to come back for that."

"My experience was amazing at Cocina Candela. We made reservations online which was super convenient. We were given bread with a delicious herb-garlic butter compote that was devine. We started with the sorullos de maíz stuffed with cheese and the bacalaitos. Plated beautifully and tasted even better. My wife had the shrimp mofongo and I had the Arroz con gandules with pernil. The rice had the smoked ham just like my mom does it. Every bite brought me home. I’m a Jersey native, but Morovis Puerto Rico runs through my veins. Muchas bendiciones Candela. Tienes un pedazo de Borinquen pa’ lo que están ausentes como yo."
