"I've ordered from Potenza 4 times. 1st 3 times was the pep pizza and Italian hoagie. Pizza is good but the Italian hoagie was delicious! I ordered this past Saturday a gyro salad for my aunt and for me a popcorn chicken salad. My salad loaded with popcorn breaded chicken. Very tender and moist and topped with delicious mozzarella cheese and French fries. My aunt said her salad was delicious but she didn't get enough gyro meat and a lot of feta cheese....I will definitely order again and looking forward to trying other items on their menu. Great place, great customer service and food...."

We love the food, it’s consistently awesome and I never regret going there thinking, oh man I should have just cooked and eaten at home. "Last night, I and 7 friends and family members went there for dinner before a movie nearby, and we all thought it was GREAT ! The new decor was fresh and appealing no more dark and uninviting look, thanks to the new management. I ordered the Lamb Pizza, and it was the best pizza I ever ate ! Their new system of self ordering before ya' sit down, then having full table service, really seemed to speed up things, and all 8 of our various orders were served to our table within 10 minutes our so ! That really helped us to get to the movie on time ! In fact, we enjoyed our dinner so much, we even went back after the show for some of their incredible home made Ice Cream, Gelato, and delicious huge Cookies. We'll definitely be back again next week for movie night !"

"This restaurant was extremely disappointing. It was understaffed, with only one waiter and two busboys for the entire dining room. After taking our order, the waiter never checked in on us, probably because the food was terrible. The rice was low quality and tasted like water. We had to ask multiple times for water. The appetizer, tahdig, was soggy and stale. The main dish, zereshk polo, had an overwhelming amount of zereshk, which was surprising. The beef filet kebab was actually tough skirt steak. We noticed that better treatment can be received by tipping the wait staff. We saw another table receive fresh Persian bread right out of the tandoor, even though it was not on the menu. We had to pack our own leftovers, which we weren't even sure we wanted. As a person of Persian descent, I was embarrassed to have brought my friends here for such a disappointing experience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Shalizaar. The legendary Persian hospitality is not found in this establishment."

"friendly atmosphere. great eating! server that are ready to meet our allergy requirements. we started with Persian tee, a hot and icy. both were so refreshing. for appetizers, we had ashes reshte suppe (so hearty and comforting,) humus with lakasch and garden salad with fantastic homemade dressing. dinner was fish cabob (salmon boiled to perfection,) lemon **** cabob, filet kabob, ground bark cabob, steamed chicken in tomato sauce, and juwel polo rices...amazing! dessert was the best baglava you ever tasted and two frozen desserts (bastani and faloodeh) that were absolutely heavenly! nothing bad in this menu!"

"It was dismaying that on a recent visit to Shiraz my first and last the establishment presented us with an intentionally misleading bill, devised to confuse patrons into paying double tip. This restaurant automatically charges an 18 service fee on the bill we were a party of 3 . This usually would not be that big of a deal, save that our waitress could not have seemed less interested in our party. She forgot to put in one diner's meal, only noticing when she brought everyone else's entree. She didn't even apologize for this. Later, we would have ordered desert but we couldn't get her attention even though we were the only diners in the restaurant. When the bill came, we noted the 18 fee and gave the waitress 2 credit cards to split the bill. When our receipts came back to sign they read Pre tip total with a line. Our waitress did not bring us back the original bill so we had to ask for it again. Upon examination, the pre tip total was in fact the after tip total. Straight up deceptive billing practice. When this was brought to our waitress' attention, she met the info with a bored shrug. TLDR: Food is unremarkable, service bad, billing deceptive."

"The food is pretty good compared to other Persian restaurants in the Bay Area. They make a juicy koobideh which is a hard art to master. The food quality is good, it tastes great and when you ask for a medium rare barg, that’s what you get! You can see from the comments that the service requires attention. The wait time is long and requests get forgotten. The service team seem very nice, polite and friendly. It just seems they need some better training. I’d do some work with the interior of the restaurant, it seems a bit “dated” as we say in Australia. It wasn’t my first visit but probably my last for a long time. I hope they heed the feedback and do a bit better."

"Owner friendly, but this is nothing close to Lebanese food. Shawarma is not even close to anything like shawarma. Mix BBQ, beef is very low quality and dry/stiff. Pricy for no reason. "SLEAZY!! We purchased a gift certificate for them through Restaurant.com – but they refused to honor claiming that they “didn’t have a contract with them anymore and didn’t have to honor it.” The restaurant was almost completely empty and we were there for the first time – but they didn’t care if we left… so we walked out. Contacting Restaurant.com revealed that they have never cancelled their gift certificates with them, so they apparently are just using those gift certificates to get people in the door. "we were surprised at the arrival and first walk to the restaurant, as it was not as beautiful as we had imagined and on a side street. In addition, a waitress/waxsin had called sick and the owner waited for the tables, and at first he seemed upset about it. but. he was considered quite charming and apologetic, and eating was really excellent and very good. the four of us had different dishes (two chickens and two vegetarians) and they were all delicious and fill. we had two appetizers (both vegetarian,) which were delicious, one was quite sharp (with auberginen.) so, although the first minutes caught us a bit outside the woke, we will return definitiw. for eating and the ambiente."

"Props to Sydney for choosing a great dish when I asked what dish represented Vinny's the best. Rigatoni. I actually managed to burn my tongue because I was eating it so fast.
