"Yes, dining in a hotel that bears the Trump brand is going to cost you money. But yes, the experience provides a more than substantial payoff. We stayed for a week in the Doral section of Miami, and try as we might to resist Champions for fear of budgetbusting, we could not overcome the temptation. The Doral Hotel is all gleaming marble with accents of gold, and we feared disdain because we were, indeed, tourists on a lark for lunch. Nonetheless, we were greeted like celebrities by staff who could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Champions is the ultimate in a sports bargrille all metal studded plush leather, with a mile long bar, many TVs, and a patio area looking out on one of the three impeccably groomed onsite golf courses. A very engaging server, Denise, attended to our dining needs, answering all of our questions regarding children's meals, negotiating several food allergies, etc. The menu is varied, with designer salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more substantial fare fish, beef, chicken that could easily serve as late lunchearly dinner. All six of our meals were expertly prepared and elegantly presented. Denise checked in on us several times, even though the restaurant was bustling and she was quite busy. We felt we had her attention throughout, in a very professional and unobtrusive manner. Was this the most expensive meal we had all week? Yes. Were the meals and the experience worth the price? Indeed"

"Dining while Black... Sadly we were treated like complete outsiders at this restaurant. being that we were minorities. We’ve dined at the location across from prudential and had a few great experiences. I’m not sure why this location treated us like this. The waitress maybe had pre conceived notions based on our skin tone. Her actions definitely showed us we were not important enough for her to wait on. We ordered drinks, they were watered down with sour mix . I ordered the chicken and was told min later they don’t have chicken. My partner ordered the linguine . Once the food arrived his linguine did not match the linguine in the menu , it was warm linguine with red onions and breaded shrimp. Nothing like the description in the menu . So when we asked the waitress about it she said , maybe they ran out of the ingredients and proceeded to take the plate away. She never came back with an update. I thought maybe she went to tell the kitchen to remake the dish. after flagging the waitress down she said oh the kitchen is closed My manager will take it off the bill. . I said why wouldn’t you tell us that instead of having us sitting here looking like idiots. She went and got her manager. The manager was nice and apologized and tried to make it right but it was too late. He said it was a busy Labor Day which is no excuse. So we just wasted a whole dinner outing to leave hungry and upset . Nobody checked on to make sure things were good, the waitress only came over when I flagged her down . Oh she also told me not to get the steak because it’s chewy, when the steak came let’s just say (she wasn’t lying . All in all if you are dining while brown or ethnic beware of the late night treatment here just saying , sadly discrimination in restaurants is a real thing . Just so you know Lucca waitress if we would have received good food and service we would have tipped never judge a book by its cover"
