"Our party of two could write two different reviews. My husband loved it; me not so much. Oddly, the place was deserted on a Friday night at 7 pm. Literally, we were the only diners seated in the place. Our server was, needless to say, attentive. Also helpful, pleasant, and competent. Now the thumbs down stuff first. The food was uneven. The best thing I had all night was the complementary amuse bouche the kitchen sent out a fried stuffed wanton that was hot, crunchy, flavorful. I couldn 't have a cocktail (medication related so the server offered me a short menu of mocktails . I ordered one with three ingredients strawberry, lime, and basil. The description neglected to say it also had a heavy dose of simple syrup. Disgustingly sweet and potentially harmful for someone watching sugar intake. I had to ask what else was in it to find out, and then stopped drinking it. She asked if I liked it, I replied No! and we all laughed but it was still on the bill. (not expensive, but it 's the principle. My meal was average uninspired bruschetta, overcooked salmon I had told the server I preferred the fish undercooked , she said they did it medium rare, but it came mostly well done, and at the thickest part, medium would be kind. It was tasty, just mostly inedible. The green beans were good, the roasted potatoes fine but nothing special. My husband ordered scallop ceviche which he liked although I thought it looked odd, plated horizontally and in much larger pieces than usually seen in ceviche; a mushroom flan that was just added to the menu and he loved it. It was creamy, hot, and rich. Then there was a star of his meal, a special of steak tartare. He said it was better than most he has sampled all over the world! Only problem being, since it was a special no guarantee it would be on the menu if we came back for it. A couple more tables were seated when we left two hours later. In all, except for the service, a disappointing, somewhat bizarre experience."
