"Here was a surprise, or maybe not. We were charged 20% tip, with the possibility to add more tip to the bill. Anyone who eats in this restaurant should get BE AWARE that they already have the check with lace. We had noticed that many resort communities automatically add a tip to their check during the busy summer months, but for Newport Rhode Island this was just strange. Now for dinner. We enjoyed the quintessential Little Rhody joy, lobster rolls. They were juicy and delicious. The rollers efficiently supported the weight of lobster meat and NO SOGGY BOTTOMS for our joy. In addition, the chicken wings, more like drum sticks, were fried with two dipping sauces. It was another presentation, but the drums were perfectly cooked and crisp. We enjoyed the meal while we watch the sea and the marina. It was a perfect day. The restaurant did not open until 12 a.m., but the manager sat early and we had drinks before the meal. The waiting staff was friendly and timely with drinks and food supplies."
