"This is a great place to eat! First, the staff is very friendly and works well together. The waitress took our order and the food was delivered very quickly by another employee and it was hot. Secondly, the food was cooked to order very tasty and cheap. We had so much food we needed to go containers. The only problem I had was my shrimps for my Pasta Alfredo was not grilled and the sauce lacked taste. Finally, the menu offers a variety of options."

"Once we were seated we reached our “water”. The waiter then walked away to check on other tables and probably didn’t come back until about 10-15 mins. We ordered the Guadalajara and the lunch nachos with steak. My parent also ordered two margaritas which took a while to come out also. The food took about 35+ mins to come out. Me thinking okay it’s lunch time I definitely understand. I started to notice that tables that were seated after us received their orders before we did so I began to think. So here comes our food. After looking at the fajita meat I could tell the order was wrong. I order medium well and they brought out medium rare. And the food was room temperature. So the manager comes over and states oh I will bring you another plate but it will take longer bc if the shrimp we say “no problem”. side note: before the manager came over I took a small bite of one shrimp. When the manager came back I notice he did NOT remake the food however he just put the meat back on the grill and it was still luke warm. I was so upset. This was my dads birthday and the service that we received was terrible."

"Lets start by saying there was no wait and they actually sat us at the time reserved. However it all went downhill after that, starting with our waitress who wasn't very friendly or attentive. We waited eleven whole minutes before anyone greeted us at our table... Also it was National Margarita day and they had no specials and the waiter even said to us that she had no idea what day it was. We got the manager involved who seemed sincere and swapped our waitress for a waiter by the name of Josh who did his absolute best to try to turn around a bad experience and make it into a great one. Moving along my food came out with hair wrapped around my shrimp, yuck I was completely disgusted and to add insult to injury not once but twice my sister asked for her drink with light sour and no salt but surprisingly they did it wrong both times. This was our first time at this location and we truly do not plan to go back. We usually go to the one in Virginia and will be going back there for both the food and service. I am super surprised with the service that was given to us at this location."

"We were a group of 13, and my husband and I specifically brought our guests there to experience the chocolate piñatas at the end of the meal. However the restaurant made two big mistakes. I asked the waiter as soon as he came to the table to order one of each chocolate piñata, because I know they take extra time to make. And I asked that as soon as the dinner plates were cleared the piñatas should be served. However, we waited at least 15 minutes after we ate for the piñatas to be served. Also, when each was broken open, ALL of the strawberries were frozen. I had to get a manager to bring us some unfrozen ones, however, he didn't bring out too many."

"Always great food, but they were out of chips and salsa when we first got there. Got the fajitas for two (2), but plate really looked like a serving for one. "1st time in and service was horribly slow...our server was reprimanded for doing our tableside guacamole. I guess the regular guac person was on break. Instead of having us wait he served us himself. Eventually we got all courses at once..drinks, water, appetizers, main course...but mostly had to ASK for EVERYTHING. "Uncle Julio’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I also used to work there (many years ago). This review only reflects this single dining experience. We were seated right away. My husband and I both thought the salsa tasted like it had been soaked in dishwater. It took 8 minutes to get the servers attention. He replaced it and it tasted normal. We were served white rice with peas instead of the Spanish rice and beans that we ordered. When we asked, the server said they ran out found it odd that he didn’t tell us or give us a choice before the runner just served the white rice. Finally, pulled a long grey hair out of the sour cream (which was sitting on the fajita plate) right as server walked up to table. Server asked if it was okay to just take the sour cream plate. We said fine I’m not easily grossed out as a customer but as a server?? I would have been horrified and immediately taken the whole plate away notified the kitchen manager and put in a rush order for new fajitas. Not once did the server express empathy for anything that had gone wrong didn’t even attempt. We gave him 20% because I guess anybody can have a bad night. I’ll go back to Uncle Julio’s but only because I know the quality of the food and service is typically much better. If it had been my first visit I never would have returned. I don’t intend to ever be served by that guy again. Really disappointing experience."

"we always eat in the restaurants of onkel julio. their signature “wire” are great and eating is always solid. this time, however, the rice with the enchiladas was cold and lumpy as if it was prepared in advance, cooled and not properly or thoroughly heated before serving. the cheese on the enchiladas was something solid and also cool. I think there was a food preparation, this time. but we're back."
