"Great authentic food with a HUGE menu. We have the house Margarita, fresh on the house Chips and Salsa, Chicken Mol, Fajitas and a Burrito. Extreme filling and large portions (also some home as left overs). Some of the best homemade flour tortillas I've ever had! This place has been for 75 years and there is a very large and helpful staff. We're going back to the ass!"

"This restaurant is a must-visit! I have been here three times already and I love the cafe atmosphere with a delicious variety of Mexican dishes. The service is great and they greet you right away. One of my favorite things is the complimentary chips and salsa as a starter. They offer alcohol, aguas frescas, and coffee. I highly recommend the mojara ala plancha - it's amazing. As for parking, it can be a bit rough getting into the lot but there is plenty of space to park and plenty of seating inside."

"What a GREAT PLACE!! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it till now being that I live 2 blocks away!! My daughter and I saw the signs they put out and walked over! The chicken quesadillas were the best I’ve ever had and my daughter cleaned her plate of eggs and bean burrito!! We will definitely be returning"

"Very nice Mexican restaurant hidden near Royal Street. Not our first choice, but we ended up here with no wait. A nice sit down and order type of restaurant. Salsa and chips before we ordered. Abita Amber (bottle) and a margarita (blended) were very good. Only three beers on tap. Chicken nachos, Shrimp fajitas and fried Yuca pictured. Not the best ever, but very good. Prices are higher than some, but in line with the French Quarter prices elsewhere."

"This place is a good place if you want some Mexican food. However, I felt like the food was made over a period of time and then nuked in the oven/microwave. The food was delicious, but it wasn't fresh.The service was okay, they forgot our tortillas and the servers don't check on you.I would still recommend this place to anyone, but the food may be a hit or miss if you are looking for fresh authentic Mexican food.Parking: There's no handicap parking which makes it difficult for people that can't walk far."

"The food was great! The location is in a strip-mall. I have the Steak-Taco, Al Pastor and Barbacoa-Taco. They are all very fillable and tasteful. The meat is tender and juicy. The chips and salsa are also great. The creamy jalapeno sauce is excellent and very tasty. Rice and beans are also great. There is a full bar with many drinks choices. There are many dishes in the menu. The food is also very well appreciated. Parking is available on the property. The service was a little slow because there was only one server, and it was also to take over with the phone orders and orders and manage the register. The food came out quickly, and hot and fresh. I would highly recommend this place for starting or diving in. The restaurant is clean."

"I have given this restaurant three tries and they have failed each time. One time I ordered called though to go when I did receive it it was cold and half filled. The other two times I ate in the restaurant. The first time I ordered chicken fajitas. The portion of chicken was extremely small, enough for one corn tortilla... The second time I had chicken tostadas. The tostadas were cold, chicken cold, way too much lettuce (seriously should have ordered a salad) and the waiter was the worst we have ever had. He had an aggravated look the entire time he served us. He really needs to find work elsewhere. At this point, we won't be back."

"We were on the west side and we were craving Mexican food. We would always go to Avila's when it was on the east side. So we decided to go. It was not to full and were seated immediately. Angelina was our waiter and she was so polite, delightful and fast. She kept our drinks coming. Chips and salsa was delicious. I ALWAYS order the mole enchiladas with chicken and rice and beans. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Everyone else enjoyed their meals We shouldn't have had the sopapillas but couldn't pass them up. Highly recommend!!"

"I visited Villa Roma for the first time last week and it was AWESOME! I can't wait to try everything on the menu. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for delicious comfort food. I tried the small garlic sauce and cheese mushroom pizza and it was fantastic. My roommate ordered the chicken kabob and said it was the best she's had in the area.
