"We were delighted to visit Mariachi for the first time, as it is very close to our house. We had no good first impression, but as the first person we met at the door (which also functioned as our server) was quite little fun. There was no smile on the face, didn't feel welcome. We were the only males of time, and it took a while to get our order and clean the other tables. He took his time to the table and moved around the restaurant. For any question we asked, we were met with a first empty look and it took a while to react. The utensils came late after the first dish (soup for my parents) was served. The soup wasn't hot, and we wanted a replacement. He looked upset that we asked. The soup that came back had a very hot bowl, but the soup itself was lukewarm. That said the rest of the meal was actually quite good and that made our experience in the restaurant. The tacos were good. My father and I have the crispy tacos (he had groundbeef and I had fish), and mom had the regular soft tacos with fish. My husband wanted fish with his Fajitas instead of meat, but he said they had no salmon to go with it. We demanded that they use the Tilapia (which went with our fish tacos) as a substitute, but was said that the cook would not use Tilapia. We thought that was strange, because every other Mexican place had no problem that served Tilapia with Fajitas. He only got herbal Fajitas, he said the court was fine. We plan to visit Mariachi on another occasion to see if the service with other servers would be different, but this will not be soon. We would recommend the space for the standard items. I hope this review will help the restaurant to train their staff better, and perhaps a bit more flexible in terms of the wishes of the guests."
