"the edgewater grill was closed on external bookings when we arrived there. there was a tour group with the restaurant. they sent us down to the beer garden in the doubletree hotel. the menu was limited and eating disappointing. when we brought our reflections on the recipe in the doubletree hilton in durango, they were not helpful. the restaurant that was on her premises was not part of the doubletree. would never book this restaurant or hotel again."

"This restaurant has a beautiful setting. It could be more than a hotel restaurant. The waitress had one other table than ours and took 10minutes to greet us because she was in a conversation with the only other table. I ordered the salad with salmon. The salmon was so over cooked and the salad was very bland. The waitress did check on us but obviously this is not her calling. It turned out to be a depressing meal in a depressing atmosphere in a restaurant that sits overlooking the Animas River. Where is management? Is the restaurant just a side focus to the hotel? Up your game Doubletree, you’re sitting on a gold mine."
