"We had a reservation on a Saturday evening. For most of the time we were dining, we were the only customers. I’m sure this was influenced by the current Coronavirus panic, but suspect it was also because word has gotten around about a drop off in the dining experience here. There were of us. Two of us got steaks. It appears they were cooked with the sous vide method which results in a very bland taste. Mine was also slightly undercooked. A companion got the traditional pork chop and thought it was good. They have eliminated the traditional “relish tray” which was greatly missed by our party. Service was excellent — but then again our server only had one table to take care of"

"Our reservation was for 12:15pm, party of 5 and a highchair on Xmas day. They were not very busy so the staff was all of 3 people. We ordered some food for the toddler (chicken strips with fries) and the cinnamon rolls for starters. It didn't come until 1:00pm! Suffice it to say it was rough since its hard to keep a hungry toddler busy for all that time! There is no reason for the food to take so long! When our sandwiches finally showed up we were starving! I have to say the food was good or I would have given them only 1 star. Although...they use the same overcooked chicken strips for the child's dish as well as the chicken and waffles. Why over cook/deep fry that chicken??? Note to management: When guests come in with a small child please give them special attention!!! No child should have to wait so long to eat!"

"We ordered chargrilled oysters but we could not taste any signs of oysters being chargrilled at all, they tasted baked and the cheese was hard… we were not given bread n butter upon arrival and had to request it. Another family came in after us and received their bread almost immediately, therefore, we requested bread and butter again and finally received it."

"Well, we ordered 2 dozen bagels and asked if we get the 13th free, she said no, you didnt order it the right way online. I said it was our first time ordering online and didn't see it since we ordered 4 different types of bagels, 6 count each. Still said no to a 13th on both dozens, (wouldnt have killed them). The bagels were great though all but the sesame, they were not done, extreme small and just thrown in the bag to finish the order. Didn't complain on the extra bagels but the not so great 6 seasame bagels that were unfinished and unusable now made me think different. Staff could be a bit more friendly."

"The food isn’t bad and the service is fine but the price is ridiculous. It goes way beyond regularly high hotel prices for food. There is nothing particularly special about the cuisine and even the presentation is lacking. I paid for hummus with pita. for a cup of stale coffee. See my picture of the continental breakfast that consisted of a mini muffin, croissant, pastry and little container of fruit. For the same price you can go to an upscale restaurant in NYC and get better food and nicer presentation"

"This is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food, the staff, the ambience, everything here is just fantastic. You get top tier food with a chilled, relaxed mood. "It took almost 20 minutes to get our order of a roasted bagel and an egg bean on a bagel. The bagels were not roasted and they laid the 2 bad bacon pieces that they could find on my $5.50 sandwich. I didn't ask her to remake her, but I asked if I had an extra piece of bacon. They were snotty about it, so I told them I don't really appreciate the attitude. To be fair, the young man behind the counter tried to bring me 3 more pieces, and I was so disgusting of the great crowd they made that I told them to keep them. Be ready to wait a while for them to cut only one bagel in half. The egg was well cooked and they got the orders technically correct."

"Easy to see directly from Old County Road Service Plainview and the adjacent areas of Nassau County. Many parking spaces and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Appropriately expensive. Credit cards accepted. Big staff mainly owner Steve Cohen who treats you like family. Very recommended! We're definitely going back."

"I like this place, we've picked up bagels and muffins from here 4 times and they're fairly reliable. Located in a small shopping center there is a parking lot that is easily accessible. Bagels- I like the variety of bagels here, and they make them huge! Although generally bigger is a better value, I find that most of the time the bagels here are under baked and shaped poorly. The crust is hardly brown sometimes I question if the interior is cooked through. After cutting the bagels in half they're usually too thick to fit in a standard two slice toaster. Other than these issues the bagels have great chewy texture and I just toast them until brown at home. Muffins- I don't usually go for sweets from a bagel shop but one time we tried a four pack of their jumbo muffins and were pleasantly surprised. It's a great treat if your family is not as big on bagels and want some variety. We had a batch of blueberry muffins that were lacking on the fruit, hit or miss. Cream cheese- We've tried the garden veggie and honey cinnamon cream cheese flavors. The garden veggie has a mix of onion, carrot, and maybe chives the veggies are not too overpowering but still adds savory flavor. The honey cinnamon is a sweet tangy option, I like to use the garden veggie on one half of my bagel and the honey cinnamon on the other so I have both savory and sweet. I'll probably come back to try more flavors in the future."

"The Shrimp Grits was phenomenal! It was a large portion and the shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. It was so flavorful. The Hot Cinnamon Roll was perfectly done. No undercooked center or burnt outside like you get at a lot of places. The Fruit Cup was even great. A mix of a lot of fruit- kiwis, fresh strawberries, pinapples and more- Not just cantaloupe and grapes like a lot of other places"
