"We made reservations there for our 40th anniversary. Our table was very private, and our waiter was excellent. We told him we did not require a lot of attention from him, and he timed everything perfectly without having to interrupt us needlessly. Very attentive to detail. The atmosphere in the room we were in was very romantic--dimly lit with tiny lights hanging from grape vines placed across the ceiling, old rock walls adding to the atmosphere of a quaint, Old World German or Swiss tavern/inn. The food was delicious, and there is plenty of it! Dinners are 5 course if you count dessert--salad, soup, vegetable of the day, main course with choice of German fried potatoes (highly recommend baked potato or fries, and dessert (not included in the price but highly recommend, especially the homemade apple dumpling Their entrees are mostly from the Swiss/German/Italian regions of Europe, but they also have some American entrees as well. I had the Beef Tenderloin, my husband had the Ribeye--request the Swiss Butter for your steak, it is wonderful. The wine list is extensive and varied. They also have a wine shop across from the restaurant where you can do wine tasting. If you buy wine from the shop, you can bring it with you for lunch or dinner and they just charge an uncorking fee. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!"
