"The Indian food was disappointing. It lacked any flavor. The chicken tikka masala resembled more of a soup than a dish, as the curry had been thinned down to a watery consistency. As for the lamb..."

"Came here for dinner during the week while in the East Hollywood area. It was a last minute dinner with about 15 guests, but they accommodated us no problem. They put together several tables and immediately had us seated. Service was top notch. We ordered many different dishes at various spice levels since we ate family style and had varying tolerances for heat. Portions were great for sharing and the spice levels were as ordered. I personally preferred more heat, but didn't want anything to be too hot for anyone. Dishes were freshly made and flavorful. Will come back here for Indian food when visiting Hollywood."

"My family I spent for 4 nights in LA, and we had dinner here every night and lunch on the first day. We were served by PJ who was amazing. Food was great every time. Last night we met the owner who seemed very humble and also knew his way around a kitchen. Not only a businessman who bought a restaurant without knowing about food. Presentation of the food was great, quiet atmosphere and could go for fine food. Would recommend to everyone. A must to visit, not to miss."

"Since moving from the northeast, we have tried almost every Indian restaurant in Jacksonville and MAA Kitchen is the best. Everything tastes freshly made, and there are always pleasant surprises. You know its freshly made because the food trickles out piping hot the first 15 minutes after the lucnh buffet opens up. Many times you see the chef carrying out one of the main dishes he just finished. We go for the Sunday lunch buffet as brunch, and there are always a few different dishes that keep it exciting, while the more common dishes are always very well made and reliably yummy. I appreciate that they put signs out for all dishes so you can remember the ones you've liked best."

"We went for dinner tonight. Excellent food! We started with the Malai Jhinga and the mulligatawny soup both were beyond good. I had the chicken hariyali and the husband had chicken tandori. Again, both were very good. We also ordered a side of biriyani rice, aloo nan and cucumber raita. Everything was cooked to perfection with perfect spices. (We ordered it mild) Pompa dan and a chutney variety was served as a complimentary starter as well. Yummy! I ordered the Taj Mahal beer, which was very fragrant and pleasantly crisp with a bit of a citrus finish. Lovely! We finished with a chai tea and a madras coffee. It was excellent! We will be back!"

"First time here. We were greeted immediately and seated in a booth. There was a TV on the far wall that was playing what I guess were Indian hit videos. There is an extensive menu that includes a veg or non veg Thali platter, which is not something I see at most Indian restaurants here. We opted for the Dal Tadka, Aloo Matar, garlic Naan, Masala Chai and a Mango Lassi. The chai can be ordered sweet with milk or without sweetener and milk, as you like. It was excellent without either. The Mango lassi was a little sweet for our taste but they usually are it was still really good. But the star of the evening was the food. The Aloo Matar was a platter full of peas with some potato accompaniment, all really tasty. The peas were very firm but not undercooked so we wondered if maybe they use fresh peas and we're just not used to the texture. The Dal was fantastic, especially with the garlic naan. We wanted to try their rice pudding but had eaten ourself full so there was no room. We'll be certain to leave some room for dessert the next time we're here!"

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious, but the service is a bit slow. However, I was a bit put off when I saw a lady working there put her bare hands into the Mukhwas without using a spoon. This made me rate the restaurant a 3. I suggest removing this practice and keeping it for personal consumption. We ordered the Papdi Chaat as an appetizer and it was fantastic! The portion size was generous, with a good amount of chickpeas and not too many potatoes. We loved the addition of sweet chutney and cilantro."
