"Bottom line: they'll overcharge you if you're a non-Latino.This has happened to me at more Latin restaurants that I have kept track of, so I knew what I was potentially getting into when I came here for the first time. I made sure to check their menu to see what price is listed for the item I was planning on ordering, which was $14. I ordered it and waited nearly 30 minutes for it to be ready (a dish that normally takes no longer than 15 minutes). They weren't even busy, mind you.Once it was time to pay, the employee tells me that it'll cost $22. Hah. I pointed out the price on the menu and reassured her that I'm being overcharged. I couldn't understand what she said after that, as the entire conversation was in Spanish and I'm not fluent at all, but I can tell that whatever she said probably wasn't a legitimate reason as to why there's a $6 price difference.Because I waited so long, I decided to pay. They ended up charging me $20 after all of this, only partially scamming me after I called them out.Overall, if you're Latino I'm sure you'll have a nice experience here, but if you're not then I'd go to one of the many other Dominican restaurants in the area with the hope of not getting scammed based on race."
