"my wife loves this place. for me eating is good, but average fair. the margaritas, on the other hand, are some of the best. in san mateo of hillsdale blvd. (menlo park is not so good) we always get the top rule, or that is what we call it. they go great with the house made salsa and chips. portions for most plates are generous. they get a good one here."

"Visited La Palma for dinner last night and will certainly be back. It is far from the best Mexican food I had, but it is well rounded and can be the best seat for Mexican food in Hermiston. The Mol Enchiladas were uniquely good in taste, but the sauce was not as thick as I used to. The frogs were crispy, the chicken was not dry and the guacamole was freshly tasting and complemented them well. The best part was that La Palma with such excessive inflation remained at most prices around $10-$12 for these dishes. My one real complaint is that the rice was disappointing with solid taste, but some dry or undercooked grains thrown out of the whole dish when I met them. My impression was that it wasn't fresh and probably reheated and was old rice. My experience was between 3 and 4 stars, but with better rice that could have pressed 5 stars."

"the places are very beautiful, beautiful, varied and not only in Spanish and with small volume. the only part I didn't like is that they are on order, I like it more is the traditional service of the waiter who is their order, perhaps due to kovid, that is why they have this system, which was served very fast, good presentation, the portions are very generous, and above all, everything is very delicious. they have a soda bar with a great variety. the fresh waters and the margarita were very good with a lot of taste. we had luck finding a place in their tiny parking lot, they only have about 8 places and very small, consider this when they think to come with the car. they can also park on the street. the experience was very good I highly recommend that we come back every time we are here"

"First time to the cafe today at lunch and they were short staffed down to 3 employees working. The restaurant was completely full at peak lunch hour. The women working were pleasant and efficient, the service timely (amazing given how short staffed), and the food excellent! "I never write reviews, but I felt very strong in this letter. My family and I have already eaten here and had a terrible experience, but we thought we would try again. Upon arrival it was clear that the place was very busy and probably short employees. We asked for a table and said it was about 10-20 minutes. After about 10 minutes we sat and that was the extent of the decent service. 30 minutes and two people in my party seeking help, we were finally brought water, although not enough cups for those sitting at the table. We gave the server our order, although it was obvious that our table was outside its normal zone. 40 minutes later our food came. We had to wait 10 minutes for cutlery, even though we had asked two of our employees to get us something. When the food came out, it was clear that the macaroni and the cheese of the child were heated in the microwave as it was burned and almost completely unusable (see photo). The rest of our table was best moderate. As I mentioned, I realize that the place was busy and probably underoccupied. The service we received, plus the overall poor quality of food, was the nail in the coffin for us. We will never return, and I encourage anyone who reads this to find somewhere else to spend their money. It wasn't worth it."
