"The Pollo en Mole tastes like Chicken Teriyaki. The sauce was broken and odd looking. The chef doesn’t know how to properly make this dish. Not a good place, I tried it because I saw a review saying it’s “the best most authentic mexican food in Salem”. This is not it. Overpriced trash is what they’re serving."

"As you can see in the pictures abundant serving enough to feed 2 3 people. Food was tasty and the place was very colorful. The location cannot easily be identified as a restaurant that served good food, that is where it becomes special to people who discovers them. Plenty of parking space so no problem with finding one. Visited again 2022 does not disappoint. Same great food and generous portions. Slight cost increase like everyone else."

"Cocula Mexican Restaurant has very recently changed ownership. It is now Mariscos Nayarit. My family made plans to meet at Cocula last Saturday night. We were shocked to see that the name has changed. The menu is entirely different and the prices are higher. The menu was not the conventional Mexican we are accustomed to. LOTS of weird seafood dishes. The service was terrible. We were seated without menus. Someone in our party went to the hostess station (which was unattended) and got some menus. The server brought chips and thin watery salsa before taking our drink orders. We didn't even have napkins or eating utensils yet. Some of our orders were not correct. Even though there is a bar, I don't think it is in operation no draught beef or mixed drinks. We asked for glasses for our beer but never received them. Despite all the cons, everyone thought their food tasted good.Cocula was our favorite Mexican restaurant and we are disappointed to see it closed. If it couldn't stay in business, I don't see how Mariscos has much chance of succeeding."

"We just stopped drinking somewhere else before dinner, and we also got free chips and salsa. Mark, our bartender for the evening was so friendly and attentive, made us very welcome! We had a strawberry Margarita and Miller Lite, both served ice cold and so delicious! Would definitely like to try for food in the future!"

"I ordered my food to pick up over the phone, and I was greeted by a lovely young man who was knowledgeable to the questions I asked and patient when I had to ask someone for their preference. He took down everything accurately and told me 10-15 minutes. I get there and the same young man greets me and informs me that the computer system is rebooting. No problem, that took maybe five minutes and I was checked out by another nice young man. When I got home my client and I went to town on the food. It was so delicious! The only thing that I was slightly saddened by was that the lupita nachos came with shredded cheese and not cheese sauce. Thank goodness I asked for no beans and extra cheese otherwise there wouldn?t have been enough at all and they were dry nachos. Other than that I have zero issues and honestly that isn?t even an issue because there was so much chicken that I it helped with the dryness and it was definitely delicious. I just know for next time to order the queso blanco and extra pico because there will definitely be a next time! Y?all are going to be a new spot for sure! Thank you for our wonderful meals"

"Overpriced compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Server didn't know menu and put in my order wrong. Also ordered 3 kids quesadilla meals with beans and rice. They brought all 3 with French fries and when I asked he said that costs extra. Had to show the server the menu where it says beans and rice OR fries."
"Our dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic. We enjoyed delicious food for five people while sitting outdoors, listening to fun music. The restaurant had ample space to ensure proper distancing and the service was quick and attentive."
