"I must say, I am pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The service here is exceptional, from the friendly greetings to the attentive waitstaff and talented chefs. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We never have to wait long for our orders, which is a huge plus. The overall experience and atmosphere at Casa Las Palmas is always top-notch. I would definitely give this restaurant a 10-star rating!"

"Went to celebrate my friends birthday and put in the reservation notes that It was her birthday but they never once acknowledged it, or did anything to celebrate it. I would’ve been happy to have paid for a dessert or some thing with a candle. Our server was basically nonexistent. we had to wave her down to ask for new drinks or water refills. She didn’t pre-bus our tables at all. Our drinks also took about 20 minutes to come to the table for a second round and we were trying to catch a movie. Food was decent and drinks were OK but Service killed the whole mood. It was also so loud in there. It was hard to hear the person sitting next to me and trust me I love loud music it was just too much."

"Simply the best overall authentic Mexican restaurant in metro Dallas. Located near Highland Park I highly recommend you make a reservation. The fresh grouper with rice and black beans is top notch both in preparation and presentation. The chips with homemade salsa served warm is simply the best you will find anywhere. The service is old school and each table is given outstanding attention. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. Valet parking is an added bonus."

"Came here for the first time in years. I was in the little shopping area next door and decided to pop in for some quick tacos. We stopped coming here years ago because the service was notoriously terrible. Food was always good but trying to get someone's attention to get more water or salsa was ridiculous. It was about 12:15, lunchtime on a Thursday. I was seated right away. I only wanted the three tacos ala carte (I hate making hard tacos at home so any chance I get, I order them at Mexican places) so I only gave 4 stars because this was one day and three tacos, BUT after this visit I'll be back. Service was good. It took a few minutes to get another bowl of salsa (I was scarfing up the chips and salsa...I hadn't eaten yet at all that day) but other than that, it was fine. But I DID get up and go to the register to pay my tab as soon as I was done, so I dont know if I would have been waiting to get my check paid. The tacos were not bad. Not outstanding by any means but the salsa jazzed them up...and the salsa...I see some complaining it was too spicy, but I loved it. My complaint is usually there is no spice at many Mexican places. I often carry my own hot sauce to step on the salsa at other places. What I really liked about the tacos is they held together for the most part. I've had tacos at several places and some, the meat is like held in water or something and so juicy the tacos shells are mushy in no time, or the shells are so delicate, you bite in to them and they just fall apart. I was probbaly in and out of here in 10 minutes paying my tab at the register and not waiting for the server/waitress. I had planned to just grab a fast food sandwich and eat on the road so I could keep moving and not lose time, but this was a great choice instead and didn't cost me too much time."

"This is a review for the GREENBRIER location only! I hate giving this place only 2 stars. I truly do. You know what you 're getting with Guad. It 's fine. It 's Mexican food. We don 't have a ton of great options around here. Everyone knows that. Despite, that I would have given this four stars. I gave the other locations (BESIDES PANTOPS which I will discuss in that review) four stars. Why? Because I 'm not super picky with my Mexican food. It 's fine. It 's good enough for me to give four stars. Again, not picky. For the MOST part, the service is quite good! Almost all of the servers are attentive and extremely friendly! There is one server, however, who is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I mean, incredibly awful. I do not want to name this person publicly, but there is NO WAY that other people haven 't complained about them. To say that this server is rude is an understatement. It will make your jaw drop. The first time it happened, I thought, Maybe they were just having a bad day. After it happened two or three more times, I thought, The only way this person is still employed is because they must be the owner 's spouse. There is no way this person should still be employed. Customer service is NOT for them. Why do they hate life so much? And there is NOTHING you can do to cheer this person up: tip super crazy high amounts, kill with kindness , crack jokes, etc. The last time I was there, this server showed up to greet me with their arms crossed, as if to say, WELL?!! What do you want to eat, dummy? No Hello . No Hi there . No My name is ____ and I 'll be taking care of you , etc. Just folded arms and a stare like I just ran over their dog. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I do not visit this location anymore.... solely because of this ONE server. I will drive further to go to a different location, and I would suggest you do the same. Trust me, if you get the bad luck of getting this person, you will have a MISERABLE meal. If you are the owner reading this, are you aware that one of your servers is this rude? You might want to take a little inventory with who you are hiring because at least at this location, you completely lost my business."

"Thank you for being open Christmas day. The waiter did table side ordering and the large queso dip was actually large. My family likes Mexican and in a sea of seafood restaurants, sometimes I just want the comfort of steak fajitas and they didn't disappoint me. Best Mexican I could find on the cape."

"While visiting family in the Valley, we decided to try out a new Mexican restaurant. We typically go to Tia Rosa's in Mesa, but wanted to explore other options. Based on recommendations from various dining apps, we chose El Palacio. The staff was attentive and helpful, which we appreciated. However, we found the food to be a bit disappointing. The ground beef Chimichanga was unexpected, as we usually prefer shredded beef. The salsa verde lacked flavor and texture, tasting more like mashed tomatillos. Perhaps we had set our expectations too high after our experiences at Tia Rosa's. Overall, for the price, ambiance, and overall experience of a quality neighborhood Mexican restaurant, El Palacio fell short. While it may be suitable for a quick lunch or drink at the bar, it is not a place we would regularly take friends or family."

"By and decided to get a little quick. The place we originally wanted to go was closed, so we went here. Sure. My friend got chickens flautas and I got tacos de carnitas. The Flautas are made with (we believe) corn instead of flour tacos that give it a very unique taste. It waz covered with a green sauce that had a little kick. The tacos de carnitas were seasoned well and embroidered with cheese, Zilantro and onions. It was served with two different types of sauces; the Zilantro sauce and a red sauce that had even more a kick. We will definitely come back."

"Delicious Mexican cuisine to serve delicious Birrie, Menudo and Mocajete. It was my first time to have Mocajete, similar to Fajitas, but the meat came in large pieces in a stone bowl. Both steak and chicken were tender and full of taste. The grilled cactus was crispy and tasty, wished there was more! The service was also great. The waitress was very patient to explain to us every single court. Love this place and glad we came here before we returned to NYC!"

"This restaurant is a good option for breakfast or lunch. I ordered the number 7 which came with turkey bacon, home fries, egg, and sausage. The plate was hot and fresh and cost around $11 with a soda. The portion size was decent, but the restaurant is small and can get crowded, so expect to wait at times."

"The decor was festive but the noise level made it difficult for easy conversation. I had a salad with chicken, and the taste was fine, but a piece of tendon or fat was left on the sides of the chicken pieces which made it difficult to cut and unapetizing to eat (chewy and stringy). I liked the cucumbers, avocado and carrots on the salad. My friend ordered cheese enchiladas, and the cheese inside looked similar to the cheese inside a fried mozzarella stick. The cheese was hot, but not melty, though; it was stiff. She was not a fan of the taste. The guacamole that came with it was pureed completely and did not have good texture or flavor. The refried black beans were delicious. We both ordered a side of them, and my large portion came in a separate bowl, whereas her smaller portion came on the plate with her enchiladas. Not sure why the discrepancy. The server came initially, and I asked him to give me one minute to decide about my order. Fifteen minutes later, he still had not returned. I had to ask the hostess if she could please send our waiter to the table; the restaurant did not appear to be really busy, either. Because of the slow service and mediocre food, I do not plan on returning."

"Literally... The most authentic and best experience you can have in a restaurant. People who really understand Mexican culture really bring this place to life. I've never been to Mexico, but the food quality and service must be the absolute proximity you can get! Please do not close your doors! The only Mexican restaurant we go more"

"Pretty good food! The shrimp fajita was delicious. The chicken quesadilla was fantastic. The flautas mixas were OK (potato flautas is the winner . The huerache was OK. The guacamole tasted a little too much like bleach (maybe that's the cilantro they use? . I heard great things about the Paloma drink. The water was... not Lake Michigan water, or something was in the pipes."

"We were welcomed right away. Our server was very nice and very attentive. He was very professional. Our food came super fast. It was delicious first time to eat at this place and we will be back. My birthday was amazing and dinner made it even better!! Thank you. Note: If you think about going to el barco, don't do it! The hostess put us on a table and we waited 45 minutes and no one ever came to our table so we went out. That's the third time we were sitting on a table waiting for who we were going to join, and we were just there 4 times. Your food is great, but it is not worth the headache and terrible customer service. So in any case el vaquero instead of!!!"

"The staff at the restaurant was fantastic. They were extremely patient with my aunt and uncle, who were unfamiliar with Mexican cuisine. Despite it being dinner time, they allowed me to order from the lunch menu. In addition, they surprised me with a piece of cake for my birthday. It was also convenient to have the option to shop at the attached market."
