"I live a few minutes walk from La Provence and eat quite often there. With the recent opening of the park next to La Provence we use the dog leash parks and cycle paths during weekends and stop for their “graffeo” (not sure the spelling) coffee, espresso and fresh French cookies. Last time I was in them, they gave some local producers cheese and olive oil to their deli. It is a beautiful place that reminds me of the French café in Provence. I am a “food”, I enjoy good, fresh, regional ingredients prepared with passion. I recommend that you follow the Mike Dunne articles in the Sacramento Bee and enjoy his reviews and blogs. I can see why he consistently gave La Provence a top 10 review in Sacramento. The peasants are actually originals and in their right season! The dishes I enjoy most are the gnocci, lamb, and the foie when they have it. I also enjoy hawks and taste, but La Provence has this extra note. As long as I remember Ruth Chris, Il Foranio and Piatti, all chains and buy their food like a chain go into a meal, they are not bad. I visited a few wine dinners in La Provence, Cakebread, Jordan and Silver Oak to be specific and had a magical time. The food was to die and the pairings were amazing. The wine card has a wide selection of French and mountaineering wines. It wasn't always perfect, but when we asked for a manager, they welcomed us warmly and quickly solved every problem we had. If I had a criticism, it is that they can be too busy and too loud at peak times, but their recent addition of oil paintings on the walls seemed to help. I have dined in La Provence when they lit outdoor fire pits with real wood and we were able to go and take our desserts and coffee out and interact with other guests who do the same. I have actually seen that they have small garden weddings at sunset in spring and autumn. It's really a romantic place my wife and I enjoy."

"We ordered 6 meals for pickup a little over an hour before they closed last night. 3 meals were missing entirely and we were missing 2 sides on the meals we did receive. I called immediately to let them know what was missing and was told to come back and they would give us the rest of the food we paid for. I still had 3 guests waiting to eat so we immediately drove back over. When we got there expecting the rest of our order (as told on the phone) we were told they had changed their minds because they had already turned off the grill for the night. They were now going to refund the total cost of our order instead. I wanted the food more than the refund as our guests were waiting to eat. The 1st amount refunded was just for the missing food instead of the whole order like they had said. They even kept the whole tip including the based on the food they never provided. I made another call and it looks like I will now get a full refund. My guests (who had never eaten there before) still haven't and I bet they never will. They were not impressed. We also will never order from here again. The food is pretty good if you can get it, but it is not so special as to put up with such poor service."

"I visited a Kreation restaurant for the first time and was very impressed! This location was conveniently near our Airbnb and just a short bike ride away. The staff were friendly and attentive while I ordered an açaí bowl smoothie. Although the prices were on the higher side and the wait for just a smoothie was quite long, I absolutely loved the vibe and atmosphere of this place, which really adds to this part of Venice. The smoothie tasted delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by its beautiful presentation. I would definitely return!"

"I could not say enough good things about Nina's. This place was an amazing experience. I got the curry burrito and it really made question the spice I could handle but it was sooo good. And Nina was the nicest diner owner I've met. My wife and I felt right at home!"

"Saffrano never disappoints. I am obsessed with their crepes, I've tried a few different ones but the Marrakesh is definitely the best. Sooo delicious."

"I went ahead and ordered a baked good, paid up, and took a seat—only to watch the same barista suddenly light up and shower a bearded hipster behind me with all sorts of smiles and compliments. Major mood killer! I totally lost my appetite at that point and didn’t even bother picking up my order. Honestly, it’s 2023! I deserve the same warmth and attention that the trendy crowd gets. For a place that’s all about being "cool" and doesn’t allow hats, their snobby vibe was really disappointing. They can keep their faux values and overpriced coffee; I’m out!"
