"I visited today and inquired whether they use a separate grill for their vegan items, similar to some other bodegas nearby that promote vegan options. Unfortunately, I was informed, albeit apologetically, that they do not; the Plantega products are grilled on the same surface as the meat.
While I understand the deli's size constraints, I personally don't feel comfortable eating items cooked on a meat-filled grill, so I chose not to order anything. If you're in the area and looking for vegan options, there's a Le Pain Quotidien down the street and a Joe and the Juice next door.
If you don’t mind that the Plantega items share a grill with meat, you might want to give this place a try. Alternatively, if they decide to implement a separate grill for their vegan offerings in the future, please share your experience in your review. Overall, I appreciate the intention behind their offerings, but unfortunately, the cooking method doesn’t align with my preferences."
