"A pleasant fine dining experience that is very affordable in the downtown area that is actually run by students enrolled in the SF City College 2 semester culinary program! Although open only during the lunch hour, we were greeted warmly with a smile when we walk in. After being escorted to our table, they make sure we were comfortably seated before bringing us the menu and telling us about the day 's specials. A couple times during the meal, they approach our table to make sure everything was satisfactory. I found the student staff (including the instructor) was very attentive, ready to answer questions about the food or to talk about their experience in the program (when asked). The food was tasty and elegantly presented on each plate. The deserts were bite-size and delicious. I enjoyed going to the Educated Palate. It 's all for a great cause. The students get valuable experience. The cost of the meal goes back to the program to pay for food and equipment, etc."
