"We went on Valentine's Day and both my wife and I were disappointed. First, our waitress was great. No complaints with her. Second, the special dessert they had was a brownie with ice cream and a pastry on top. My wife couldn't stop raving about it even though the brownie, IMO, was really dense and hard. Third, my wife doesn't like oysters, and the restaurant was kind enough to substitute a shrimp course instead. Unfortunately, those were the only good things in our opinion. We sat so close to the people next to us, I could have reached over and eaten off their plates. They sat us next to the kitchen which is next to the door to the outside deck. Easily the worst table location in the restaurant even though there were many open tables in much better areas (we had reservations, so it wasn't like we were walk ins). The butter and bread was just fair. So many top notch restaurants are elevating their bread and butter, so it's disappointing when you get a butter so ordinary. The lobster bisque was oily. I'm not sure how they made it, but we've had lobster bisque a hundred times before, and this by far the worst tasting. My wife thought her medium rare steak was overcooked and not tasty. I felt mine was cooked properly and was very good. Finally, the atmosphere and ambiance in the restaurant is just OK. Not sure why so many people rate it so high. They did the best they could with it being connected to a hotel convention center, but it's not 5 star. Overall, while the wait staff was excellent, whomever allowed us to substitute off a non substitution menu was very accommodating, there were way too many negatives and we won't be returning."

"it is difficult to check a limited time concept on the last day of the operation, as so many variable can make or break the meal. we have been sitting in the parents' house and loved it, and from a food perspective our meals were fantastic. a couple of things we wanted to order were not on stock as we were fed last night, they would be open, so sure, it is not unexpected that some things could not be available. but overall eating was great. the service was in the very good, although clear they were all roared (more about this at the moment). we got cute but no serviettes until we asked them how our appetizers arrived. our biggest disappointment was however with table management and attitude at the front. we had 5 clock reservations. they were initially supported by what was possibly overbooked when they closed the saloon to use as overflow seats. we have not taken place until 6:20 clock (it is a good thing that we went the carnival and had some fried junk lives earlier on the day). obviously the host was roaring and or irritating, as she was very short with us when we checked at the beginning at 4:30 to inform her that we were there. security was also very grouchy. overall this was waiting due to the setting of the staff unpleasant (additionally not in the position, actually going they get a $18 drink from the saloon bar during waiting). that was their first rodeo, so I'm sure they learned something next year and do much better. a great culinary experience, only with some hiccups at the front."
