"My ranking of fair is based on 1 poor and 2 average entrees. Swordfish awful! Had a rank after taste. Served on slightly warm, mostly raw vegetables. 2 other orders were average. The sushi was great. Great location. Most of the other restaurants in the area were busy. Ru Sans was light on customers. I guess the words out. I go to Japan 10 times a year and was hopeful Ru Sans was going to be a Diamond in the stars among the Nashville restaurants. The waitress was courteous and timely. She gave me a 25% comp on the fish although I barley touched it. Never saw management. Will never be a returning customer."

"I love Sushi Kushi! I think I'm going to this place as I had a bad experience last year in Vernon Hills in Tsukasa of Tokyo. The new year on the way 2017 Sushi Kushi is expected to be back in January. My favorite things are Salmon Lovers Maki, Godzilla Roll, Jackie's Hand Roll. Very tasteful food, great service, warm atmosphere. If I ever have a bad experience with you (what I doubt) I will make sure you let it know. Finally, I am pleased to try out other elements on your menu in the future. Thank you."

"This was my first Japanese food experience in the area, and Sumo Hibachi doesn't stand out on my list of memorable places to eat. The sushi wasn't bad, although I wish the menu mentioned it had wasabi inside. The spring rolls weren't bad either and went well with the sauce. However, the chicken with the hibachi plate was quite soft and chewy, which is less tasty than compared to a bit of char. The dressing on the salad wasn't very tasty either. The food itself warrants a star off. The other star deduction comes from the 18% gratuity at the end of the meal, regardless of party size. I've seen many restaurants add a mandatory gratuity for large groups (i.e. 6+ but it's quite rare that you're charged 18% on top of your meal regardless. That's never a good look for a restaurant. I will say the show they do in the back looked entertaining though, but I didn't get to experience it first hand."

There was wide tables and bar table, so you can enjoy your meals with family or friends or alone. There are various menus such as sushi, sushi rolls, sashimi, ramen, etc. Especially, sushi rolls have a variety of options, you can choose one that suits your taste. Sashimi’ slices are very thick, so you can enjoy a wonderful texture and taste. Ramen is well matched with the other menus. Make sure to eat them together. At First time, I ate sushi for takeout. The food was well packed and maintained freshness. And next time, when I ate it in the restaurant, I can feel that all the staffs were very pleasant and kind. "Dinner last night was amazing. We had a larger group and literally almost needed 2 hibachi tables but they made it work and we had a great time. Our Chef, Tomas, was great! He went above and beyond, had a little confusion with the order initially and he handled it like a champ. The atmosphere was great. The hibachi food was excellent and as usual I couldn’t eat it all (lunch for today and the ramen and sushi that was order was also devoured. Overall. Our group had an amazing time and both our chef and waiter we great! Definitely recommend…"

"I almost didn't go to Takara because of the negative reviews, but I'm so glad I ignored them and had a chance. I don't know what these negative critics were talking about. The food was EXCELLENT!! Hibachi is so much fun! The portions were huge and we all received even portions as you can see in my photos (1 of them was taken after I had taken several bites of steak and vegetables). Everything was beautifully aromatized and nothing needed additional seasoning. We ordered Sushi appetizers, a cocktail and hibachi entrées. We asked for water and were offered a selection of taps or bottles. Kosher food is more and more expensive, but this is expected. The prices were on par with other kosher hibachi and you pay the same or more for kosher steak everywhere. The Maschgiyachs even placed the meat on the Hibachi Grills themselves! Usually in restaurants you never see the Maschgiyach, so it is nice to know that they are actively involved in ensuring that your meal is properly treated. Since hibachi is so much fun for children, I want to see that they add a children's menu. We had to order my child an adult meal, but remnants will be enjoyed tomorrow! We moved to NJ from NY about 2 years ago, so we have very high standards when it comes to restaurants and food, and Takara is not disappointed!"
