"Very pricey, unsure if I was charged for extra items as I wasn’t given a receipt. Some food was very good others just okay. The michelada didn’t seemed filled all the way, the mug was about 3/4 of the way full. Took quite a while to receive service but after we got service he did a great job. Kids were very happy with their French fries and chicken nuggets and the agua de horchata was really good."

"Terrible. First the Tacos Dorados de Res Crispy Beef Tacos were not tacos like we know them, they were flautas. Second the Chiles Rellenos de Pollo y Queso Stuffed Peppers with Chicken Cheese had no cheese inside chicken was spicy (not mentioned in description). Got like 2 tablespoons beans if that rice was flavorless. Very overpriced for quality. Would not order here again."

"We really wanted to like this place. They greet you with chips and salsa. The atmosphere was our favorite part. They have karaoke night Fridays and Saturdays. Service was okay, I think we got a new server, so yeah so we’ll let that go. Still kind. The foodwas not good. Visually pleasing but lacks taste. Chilaquiles—okay Enchiladas de Mole—not good. The rice had no flavor, honestly. The black beans were okay. Drinks: No diet sodas Jamaica Juice was mid. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"On my third trip to Hot Jalepeno I was severely disappointed in the service.My server MaryLu who had waited on me two previous times both times ordering the streak Fajitas. The first time I had paid $4 extra for the skirt steak which was very good. The second time I ordered it again but it was served with the uninspiring and tasteless beef common in Fajita dishes. Today on my third visit I asked if I could have (and pay extra for) the skirt steak I had the first time. She said yes. I also ordered the corn tortillas to come with the dish which I had done on the two previous occasions. The order came and it was the same tasteless beef. It also had flour tortillas when I had asked for corn. Along with this I ordered a watermelon margarita that had a horrible aftertaste as the fruit had soured due to age I would assume. I had only a few sips.I told my server it was bad and not to sell it as it had turned.When the check came she had added an order of corn tortillas and hadn't taken off the spoiled drink.When asked why she said she had to charge for corn tortillas and no one else had complained about the rotten drink. The server also didn't give me my change when I paid as I wasn't leaving a tip. I had to hunt her down.In a neighborhood full of great restaurants a place needs to step up their game and not serve this poor quality.Delicias is right around the corner and the quality is on a totally superior level.I encourage you to head there."

"Tried for the first time yesterday, bought like 50 tacos for my sons birthday . They were delicious, the meat was cooked perfect .The last was very nice and friendly. The lady even called me back because she forgot to give me the onions and cilantro and when we went back even gave us a free soda. I was very grateful for that. She went above and beyond to help us out . Will definitely be going back again. Thank you !"

"I ate several meals here over a 4 night stay. Breakfast is delicious and the burrito is out of this world. Dinners are great and I especially loved the seafood pasta. Nice casados as well. Had lunch everyday here and I always got the ceviche. Excellent! Guillermo is an amazing host and a great guy. Lara, his daughter was a great hostess as well. Loved this place and it made me feel at home."

"Please save your money. I am insulted by what I just paid $63 for. I bought the $50 seafood boil bag and a side a Rasta pasta. I had to throw the Rasta pasta away and the seafood boil though flavorful, did not have the items it advertised. It breaks my heart to leave such a review. Unless they're able to get it together, I would save my money. Grossly overpriced with scarps!"
