"Great food and staff are always very attentive and helpful. Owner is very personal. I've been going to this restaurant since I was at graduation school in the late 80s. Food is always delicious to make sure you taste Turkish coffee. On a day when the graduation ceremonies took place at the university. It was very crowded, but the waiting staff did their best to meet high service standards. Even if we ordered several pieces of baklava to share among 7 people, they took the time to cut it into pieces for each person when they served it. The quality of the food reminded me of Street Cart Food in NYC that it was fresh and tasty."

"Went for a take out quick meal thinking it was a place selling Middle Eastern groceries, but also sold shawarmas.Was pleasantly surprised to see the seating they have with booths in addition to tables.The food was really awesome, with the Hummus really exceptional.Ordered a mezzo platter, and it had Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Labneh, and Tahini, and generous portions as well!! Totally delicious as well!!!!They have all the traditional grills like Koftas, Kabobs, etc., as well.The pita that comes with the food is not sufficient, but then the waiter did come up to us to ask if we needed any extras, not sure if they would have charged us extra.The food is amazing the hummus is some of the best I’ve had other than in the Middle East! And I really enjoyed dining in.Definitely a place not to miss!Highly recommended."

"Absolutely delicious!! And you can not beat the prices for the quality and quantity you receive. I always get the Chicken Swarrma Sandwich 5) with a side of the garlic sauce .50 cents). The chicken is seasoned well and always juicy never dry. The sandwich is huge and is more than enough for lunch or dinner. The garlic sauce is a must try. It's a light airy sauce that packs a punch. The rice is a must try as well. Always perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. And for only 2 is a great add on to your sandwich. The hummus is a must try as well. Great flavor and you can try it for .50 for a small cup. The beef Swarrma and kofta are also amazing as well. My son 7 yrs old) had the beef swarrma kids meal and it was so much food that he had enough for lunch the next day. He tried tahini for the first time and loved it. This is his new favorite place to eat now. My family and I ordered 4 sandwiches, a kids meal, extra side of garlic sauce and hummus and our total was only 26.50. The location is a little tricky if you aren't familiar with UofL campus. It's right next to the laundry mat and insomnia cookies."

"I really enjoy this place. Convenient in so many ways.The food is pretty good. Actually, it's silly, one of my favorite things is their onion rings. They are crispy and tender and combined with their ranch, actually quite pleasant to indulge in.The gyro sandwich is very good. Reminds me of being in Europe or the middle east. It's not fancy, but has that great food cart quality.They have a variety of on the go items typically found in a gas station. Their JoJos are great. Not to mention the collocation with their Convenient store.Great family owned operation."

"We custom ordered a strawberry birthday cake that had zero strawberry flavor. I immediately called and was told to return the cake. I returned the cake the following day and was told the strawberry flavor was lost because of the vanilla buttercream. I was offered a gift card for the price of the cake which was approximately 1/4 of my total purchase price. This was a very expensive lesson to learn and I will not plan to order any custom cakes from them again. This is extremely disappointing."
