"We booked in advance for a Birthday celebration. Greeted by a very charming hostess he seated us promptly. Adam! He was amazing. Very charming, knowledgeable, patient. A1 customer service. Made great suggestions as for as menu options. He made his guest have a very happy birthday, we didn?t get to talk all of the pics because we really enjoyed our food. He ordered a the king Alaskan salmon with spinach and shrimp fried rice, I ordered the 10 oz filet-mignon with Oscar Louie (lump crab meat) with the garlic mash on the side. We had a baked Alaskan dessert that Adam lit on fire! With strawberry cookies and cream inside! It was amazing! They also gave us an customized birthday menu! That was it for me!"

"I had a great meal at this restaurant. I dined at the bar, so it was a bit noisier than the rest of the restaurant. However, the bar staff were excellent - the best I've encountered during my stay. I ordered the lobster, scallop, and shrimp dish, and all were cooked perfectly. For dessert, I tried the chocolate mousse, which was enough to share between 2 or 3 people. I will definitely be coming back."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"I would not recommend going to Fiola Mare during COVID or after. The first thing I was informed of is the time limit at the table of 1 hr 30 min, which I thought was completely tasteless. I was celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with me to share at the table. I was informed that I could not cut or eat my cake at the table because things from the outside are not allowed. I thought that policy was ludicrous because literally people bring jackets, purses, etc in the restaurant, which are technically from the outside. Nevertheless, we pressed on. Our waitress was fine, she did her job gracefully and was very funny. We all ordered the lobster ravioli, which was $55. The dish tasted great but I think we were all shocked when we received 2 ravioli and 2 pieces of lobster. It was so tiny that it was more like an hor d'oeurve than a dish. It is criminal to me that Fiola Mare thinks it is appropriate to charge that amount for 2 lobster ravioli and 2 small pieces of lobster. I have no problem paying that amount for quality food but that dish was severely overpriced. At that point I did not wish to press on and order anything else. With the time limit on the dinner, I think we were all ready to go at that point. We all left HUNGRY and underwhelmed. It completely put a damper on my birthday celebration. For that, I will not return and would caution any one else to do the same."

"We loved almost everything about Rebecca’s. Appetizers (scrambled eggs with caviar and fois gras) were delicious as was the lobster with risotto. The grouse which was a special was not to my liking too heavy. Only reason I gave the food a four and not a five. Cheese course and tart tatin were also delicious. Service was excellent and the bar tender was very hospitable. We will definitely come back and recommend Rebecca’s to friends and family!"

"I brought a friend here, he was visiting from Calabria, Italia. We had the best time. He enjoyed the food, he said it was true Italian. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff is attentive, lovely and so professional. My friend doesn’t speak English- only Italian so it was an absolute delight to meet and chat with chef Matteo and learn that he and my friend are from the same region in Italy, in towns 20 minutes from each other. It was delightful. We enjoyed Monkey 47 gin and tonics at the bar. At our table we had a seafood tower, burrata, and a white wine selected by our waiter. Everything was perfect. I love that we discovered this place. I will return with friends and family while we live in the DC area."

"This is a total scam. The food is mediocre at best and the service basically disappeared mid meal. The owner is very condescending and turned away people who simply wanted a drink at the bar. She is unhinged and rude. After getting enough on our tab she never returned to the table. Most importantly, the food just isn’t that great. Certainly not worth the money or sitting in a terrible atmosphere on the corner or a pharmacy."

"I have been to a number of Michael White restaurants and they never disappoint, Costata was on par if not better than his other restaurants. I absolutely LOVED the food, everything was on point and I am a VERY picky eater. The wait staff was incredible and the wines were very unique. My only complaint was that we sat next to the wine fridge which was cold and made noise, we could have asked to change tables but didn't want to even bother, but if anyone from Costata reads this, I suggest this be the last table you ever sit people in. I highly recommend the restaurant and am looking forward to going back and having that halibut again!"

"Very strange experience. They were here once and it was fabulous, but this last time was very unpleasant. We waited for more than 10 minutes before an employee approached us, despite a reservation and waiter constantly to go through the room. After all, there were so many people waiting to let the host come up and, if she looked rather confused and flogged, tried to sit while two tables went out of people and warned us not to stay because they had waited for food for over an hour. We sat hesitantly and looked up dunes to serve themselves water and fetch utensils, so that after 15 minutes sit without someone approaching us, we just stood up and went. A disappointing experience as a whole."

"TLDR- will work in a pinch, but not worth making a point to go there. Went here for a date night yesterday evening. My husband and I had been here in the past, but that was quite some time ago. The overall experience was meh. We ordered the calamari app which was good, but the serving size was very small, more like an individual sized appetizer than one to share, and for $20, I considered it overpriced. Drinks were okay, not great. We ordered a vodka martini and draft beer. Not only did it take longer than our appetizer to get to us, but the martini wasn 't very cold, and it tasted more of vermouth than vodka. I ordered rigatoni vodka which wasn 't bad, but certainly wasn 't vodka sauce. A more accurate description would be a creamy tomato sauce. We ended up leaving to go somewhere else for dessert and drinks. It wasn 't 'bad ' per se, but we wouldn 't choose this place again for a date night."
