"Great steaks but poorly managed. Had a 6:00 reservation but they didn’t seat us until 7:15. I can understand this occurring if we were walk-ins but we had a reservation. Background music is also too loud (and unnecessary). Some of the biggest, best drinks in town. But go elsewhere bc of poor management practices. Lots of other good steakhouses in town where you won’t encounter such carelessness regarding reservations."

"we had a great night, but there was a baby crying very loud when we were there. for the selection of this restaurant as date night place, it was very disturbing. we have children and 8 grandchildren and love children, but when you go, our children have enough since we go out of the restaurant until the child calms down. the table beside us complained and I heard that the waiter says there is nothing he can do. he was also our waiter and he couldn't be more attentive to us, but it's sad that someone couldn't walk by and asked her to take the child for a while. instead of annoying these people, they had a few tables that were not happy to hear the screaming of all night."

Fast seating and service in general.Really enjoyed the steaks, chicken, ribs were to die for.Potato skins and the boneless wings are bursting with flavor.It wasn't very busy as we went on a Monday evening.I ordered a a pineapple margarita and it was made perfectly.Highly recommend trying this place if it's not too packed. Tried going several times in last few months but couldn't find a parking spot.Easy to find and navigate to as well.Restaurant and bathroom was very clean. Miss the peanuts but not on the floor. "Nice place. On an excursion to Des Moines stopped here afterwards. I had the bourbon bacon on Texas toast. For variety I got the jalapeno creamed corn. That was good. Thick bacon strips. I could taste the bourbon flavor. Jethro has a smattering of sauces. I tried three to see what went best with the bacon. The hot sauce wasn't too hot actually but tasted fine. There was a Jethros sauce that was ok too. I liked the Carolina sauce best. The jalapeno creamed corn was a winner. Little bit of heat in corn. There seemed to be some cheesiness in the cream. Waitress was very attentive. While I didn't have any looked like a good selection of beers too. Another interesting item that I didn't try was the Happie drink. First restaurant in Iowa to offer a CBD drink... Fun atmosphere. Music from the 80s."

"I simply loved this place Melissa and her trainee Jess was just lovely people to take our order for a group of 7. They were attentive and had the biggest warmest smile on their faces. For a service member in the army this place was a great spot to unwind and have a great steak. Melissa said this place was famous for steaks that are so tender you can cut them with a butter knife!, let me tell you they were not lying. "Everything was delicious, and moderately priced. Went with a group of family friends and it was a free for all in ordering. Two tomahawks, seafood tower, 3 other steaks, 7 different side dishes. 5 desserts, after dinner cappuccinos and espressos, Beers, cocktails and wines were flowing. Came out to $177 between 7 people including a hefty tip. Everything was cooked perfectly, service was excellent and the 90’s playlist they had going on last night was fire. Banger after banger. HIGHLY recommend this place. Will absolutely return."

"My experience was very good. The ambience with live music was a great touch. Food and drinks as always very good. As for the staff, my party thought the hostesses could go ahead? was more friendly and welcoming. Also our waiter jumped directly into his monologue instead of introducing himself (still not knowing his name). Back to food I recommend you to start with the French onion soup, it was fantastic. You can never go wrong with a fillet and your choice of crab legs or lobster, we chose crab legs and loved them. The chocolate cake was good, but I think the butter cake is the best dessert on the menu. I enjoyed my spicy margarita and silver paloma. My friend enjoyed Aperol Spray and Wodka Limonade. An espresso martini with dessert is definitely recommended, perfect way to pack a great meal."

Please please PLEASE move your music choices down tempo. Sade, Joss Stone, Tracy Chapman, love songs, this is not a dance club. And you can even turn the volume down a few decibels.
