"Pulling into Santa Cruz on a Tuesday managed to get a room 9th floor overlooking the huge pier and beach and boardwalk. This is hands down The Place you want to stay in Santa Cruz. If you never leave the room ; they have fabulous room service nostalgic like room service!! There is so much to do in walking distance or go down to the pool . The view of the bay and the boats and the boardwalk at night, watch the train roll in and out of the strip. Such a cool place to be. I’m from Texas so the temp difference And water temp difference was so surprising. In Santa Cruz the wet suit invention is second only to the wheel.Loved our front seat view of fabulous sand art , volleyball, sunbathers , surf lifeguard school.We stayed as long as we could w options to extend our stay and every cent spent brought memories to last a lifetime. So I am left to wonder. Would Santa Cruz been as neat if we hadn’t stayed at the Dream?I just know it was a wonderful base w location and views like no other ."
