"This review is for our experience with Mayuri catering. Mayuri catered for our wedding and reception. We are so so glad that we worked with them for our food experience. We worked with Mahidhar who was very prompt in getting back to us via email and had a phone call to understand our needs. He set up a tasting for us and also helped us narrow down our menu. Most importantly, we wanted a catering company that would deliver, set up, provide chafing dishes, refill food as needed and clean up--Mahidhar worked with us to create a package that included service staff for our wedding who would work alongside our wedding planner and their staff. Leading up to the wedding, he helped us label which foods are vegan, had allergens etc.We also wanted our guests to have the experience of having a Thali style wedding lunch and he worked with us to provide rentals for 150+ Thali plates which after doing our own research for a long time, I realize is a huge feat. Mahidhar also toured our wedding venue and worked with the venue manager to figure out all the important details ahead of time.On the day of the wedding, Mayuri and their staff delivered 110%. After the ceremony, we walked in and the food was already set up, drinks set up, each with its own labels, steel Thali plates set up as we discussed. Everyone LOVED the food and it was authentic South Indian wedding food that we envisioned. After the wedding lunch, everything was cleaned up and the buffet set up tables were turned over for evening reception dinner. We also had an outdoor cocktail hour and all the appetizers were amazing and set up perfectly. Reception dinner was North Indian/Indochinese and again, the food was amazing!! At the end of the night, takeout boxes were available for the guests and for us to take food home. The venue kitchen and the buffet setup was cleaned up to venue's standards as well.We are very impressed and would definitely recommend Mayuri for catering services. Many venues in the Seattle area don't have Indian catering and don't offer service staff if not catering through them. Mayuri made our wedding day stress free and delivered on everything we discussed!"

"I'm just going there for one reason, her Madras Tiffin Thali and her noon equivalents... the combination of idlis, medu vadas, dosa, uttappam and dessert... No other restaurant has this nearby And food quality is truly authentic South Indian testified by many of my friends from the same community! But beware of waiting when there is a festival nearby in the Hindu Ashland temple, there will be great quantities in the restaurant too! Also other things I love, there are Vada Sambar (Medu Vada's immersed in pipping hot Sambar), mixed vegetables Pakora/Bhaji/Fritters and gulp it down by pipping hot Madras coffee served in traditional form!"

"Everything was delicious we ordered Samosas, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer... all with interesting flavors. I've had a lot of Palak (Saag) Paneer at various Indian restaurants, and it's usually more or less the same flavor, with little variance. But this was different. The had an interesting (in a good way) mix of spices, new to me... definitely looking forward to future visits. Good prices and super friendly service too."

"I absolutely adore the lunch buffet at Pasand! The samosas and tikka masala are hands down the best I've ever had, rivaling even the homemade dishes my Indian sisters used to cook in high school."

"hidden over this place when we went to check English book, they had a completely separate vegan menu. that had a lot to choose in starters, curries, naan brot and of course dosas. they also had a great vegan lunch offer where they had a tablet with 3 curries, rice, naan brot and some cut veg for $7! and they also did every veggie dosas for $8. we have lunch and shared a dosa and they were massive. would recommend this place. local business, good eating, amazing price can not ask for more!"

"Surprisingly hadn't tried this place out before, considering my fondness for south indian restaurants. Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and at the recommendation of a friend, and was pleasantly surprised by the food here. We ordered rasam vada, mysore masala dosa, onion rava masala dosa and the south indian special thali. The rava masala dosa was great thin, crispy at the edges and soft at the center. Would recommend trying it. The south indian thali too had a good variety of dishes. I especially enjoyed the rasam and variety rice that day. The thali though was not hot when first brought out, and I had to request them to heat up the dishes. Second time around it was better. The filter coffee was up to the mark too. Not too crowded in comparison to some other south indian restaurants in the area, which is a plus. They have a covered outdoor section too, which would be nice on good weather days. Service could have been slightly better, hard to get hold of servers after pacing the order.Parking: There is a moderately sized parking lot which can fit about 20 25 cars I would think. Street parking should be easy to find around here."

"Phenomenal experience!!! I only got take-out but the owner her staff were all incredibly welcoming very attentive of my needs the entire time I was there. Everything from the decor, to the taste of my dishes, service, were all perfectly on point. This is a Twin Cities MUST EAT spot for certain, if you haven't already been here!! You can truly feel see the authenticity of this restaurant with the ambiance they've created the food they offer. I can't wait to be back for more, and actually dine in with them once the pandemic is over!"

"here had a large group of 12 for dinner. first, the reservation was so easy, they were quick to communicate with me and were for a big group, although I could not give up to the last minute exact number of participants. our waiter during dinner was absolutely phenomenal. we all love the kitchen, but are novizen and our waiter made great suggestions for each person. eating was fantastic, every bite really amazing. I would order everything again. everyone in the group wants to make this a tradition now, we will all be back in any case."

"let me start this review by stating that I can only imagine for a lacto-vegetarian, this place must be amazing! my man and I went late afternoon, an hour or so before the buffet ended, and it was still swung with people! we had to wait for a table, and it wasn't even the height of lunch! not only that, but it is a very popular place at people who speak with the authenticity of eating. after said, it is not a very vegan friendly situation. while I have read reviews below that say differently when I called earlier to confirm that it is what we could eat on the buffet, the person seemed to be extremely satisfied. he said he thought there were two or three things. when we arrived, as I did in the vegetarian buffet, I asked one of the server to walk through the vegan items on the buffet. he didn't seem to be sure, so I asked another one who made me through. again he did not seem to be sure (and he was not compatible with the last server.) I wondered if a manager has run through me . . again did not identify the same amount of vegan friendly items. objects that should have been vegan, we were told that only a little milk. we found that all 3 individuals had pointed out a common object and the rice. we were very disappointed. if we hadn't been a hurry to make it a date, we might have sat down and run through the menu in detail. . . . or gone somewhere."
