"Nice escape from the valley heat to the fog with a 30° difference! There are nice walking paths in this area, but not much else to do except maybe chill, have a nice cocktail on The Terrace, read a book, experience the spa, and/or have a nice dinner at one of their restaurants overlooking the ocean. After walking around the property, we ended up dining at The Conservatory for a nice culinary experience. We had a table at the window overlooking the fog and what we could see of pelicans flying by. The service was impeccable, and the decor was very happy and inviting, but not stuffy. There were families who just returned from the pool to people dressing very casually to other people being dressed in more resort attire. We ordered the wagyu burger with duck fat cooked fries, beef cheek in a wine reduction with veggies, rack of lamb with roasted veggies, strawberry shortcake (in a jar), and a baked fruit crisp with the most amazing lavender honey ice cream. Everything was delicious, and we loved the ice cream so much that we ordered another single scoop on it's own!Good place to get away if you don't mind the long drive....note, there is a lot of traffic especially on the weekends, however, once you arrive and settle in, this property location is serene, beautiful and peaceful....even if you can't see passed the fog!!"
