"This was our first time at the Barrymore and we were impressed right from stepping foot Maude until we left. Ingrid was our server, her and our back server’s attentiveness was just the right amount. We started with Wedge salad, the blue cheese was fresh and creamy, Crab Cake full of carb and not too much filler, NY Steak and Lobster Tail, Salmon and our aides were Lobster MAC n Cheese and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. It’s not often you visit a new place and you live everything you order, this was not the case! Everything was indescribably delicious and cooked to perfection! We can not wait to go back! I do have to note, we weren’t sure it was open because it’s attached to the Royal Palace Resort that is undergoing renovation, we were nervous walking in DO NOT LET THIS DETOUR YOU Once you step inside, it’s exquisite! I wish we would’ve taken pics of the food, we devoured everything!"

We asked for one of the several empty tables through the window, overlooking the river. A little, but it happened. Food was meh. Risotto was overboiled and the squash in it was understated. "Very nice atmosphere. Excellent service also. I found the food a little underwhelming. The flank steak was very hard, the presentation was less than impressive. The Hamburger was not as gourmet as you would expect for the price. More bread than beef and the cook on the meat was not as ordered. Unfortunately, this was an average pub style burger best. However, the salmon salad was excellent. This dish impressed the fish perfectly cooked in every way, the vegetables were fresh, tasteful and seasoned until perfection. The presentation was on site. The prices are high prices that indicate a fine culinary experience. That was average for me. I just feel like that. ve had a better experience in another restaurant for a fraction of the cost."

"I'm starving while I write these lines for not eating at this location. I requested one of the employees to change their gloves after handling bacon, because I mentioned that I'm kind of vegetarian. He did, but they switched places, and the other employee who was handling the cold meats, went straight to handle the veggies without changing their gloves. It seems they don't mind about cross contamination, nor have any consideration for a customer that explicitly requests not using meaty gloves with the veggies. Subway is the only vegetarian friendly restaurant on the road, but not at this location."

"An absolutely awful dining experience from soup to nuts . Visiting from out of town, and this was the only restaurant in National Harbor with seating at 6 PM. I now know why. 1 Greeted by a waitress whose opening greeting to us was an explanation of the cheeses that the restaurant was out of ? . 2 Told that items that were literally printed on the menu were no longer on the menu . 3 Had to revise on order as the item ordered hush puppies were unavailable . 4 Orders delivered to the table were incorrect. 5 Items that should have been cold beer, for instance were warm, and items that should have been warm were cold. 6 Food was substandard. 7 Service was even worse."

One of the employees was just topping up one of the meat trays that was already almost full, ignoring the growing line of customers. She then started sweeping the floor without acknowledging anyone.
